Our youngest was 1 1/2. He learned from watching his big brother who was only 2 1/2 at the time.

Thanks April! yea i think ya right my boys learnt so much just by watching other kids!

I find it hard to believe a baby as young as 14months is potty trained! I mean its 1 thing them sitting on potty themselves but wiping themselves, getting dressed, being dry through night is hard to believe, so if they not doing these stages then they r not really potty trained!

Both of mine were potty trained around 2 1/2 years old. I tried when they were younger but they were not ready. I waited until they showed interest in it. I have friends that were lucky enough to potty train their son when he was 18 months. I still have problems getting them to wipe themselves after pooping, and my oldest just turned 4. He will sit on the toilet for an hour before wiping. Sometimes he cries not wanting to do it. If anyone has any ideas let me know.

My 19 month old has started saying wee-wee and the other day when we was undressed he shouted wee-wee and then followed through on the floor, so maybe we will start working towards that. However I have a three year old girl who still isn't - she refuses to try becasue she says she 'doesn't want to be a big girl'!

yea some can but all babys develope at different stages, personly i think sometimes mums like to be in compatition see if they can get there child to do things at youngest possible age, i found u can just sort of tell when they are ready and i put no preasure on them just enjoy each stage as it comes. xxx

my son is 2 yrs old and I'm having trouble potty training him. its tough =x

i knew a few that got their son potty trained at 14-15 months.

My daughter was so much easier, but her going to preschool really helped with that too. Her preschool tells me and everyone with kids in there to dont worry about it if they're not fully potty trained, in no time, they will and thats what happened because they se other kids doing it and everything. And she was just turning 3 ys old. So dont worry Emma. the nursery will help him alot.

We started our son around 2 years old. We introduced the potty to him 1st and let him play with it and become familiar with it so it wouldnt be scary. When he started getting the concept down we moved so we had a set back and pretty much had to start over. I found that if I let him run around the house with out any diapers/underwear/pants on he would recognize when he had to go and after that it he was done in no time. I had to slowly introduce the clothes back into the process. Every child is different and will do it when they are ready... not when the parents are ready.

My boy is 3y 3months n he still aint properly potty trained, but he has constipation problems so its its been a hard process trying to potty train him, plus im finding the hard part of taining is the getting him to wipe himself properly and been able to put his own pants and trousers back on. He starts nursery in sep n im quit worried about it.

How old is your boy?? xx
