My 5 1/2 month old eats (all times and amounts are approximate -- he pretty much got himself on this schedule, but sometimes it varies):
7am: 8oz formula
10am: 6 oz. formula and 2 Tbsp cereal
1pm: 8 oz. formula
4pm: 6 oz formula and 2 Tbsp fruits or veggies (right now he's on carrots)
7pm: 8 oz formula, and nighty-night!

My 6 month old doesn't have a set schedule she breast feeds when she gets up and before bed. She eats about 2, 4 ounce, jars of baby food usually 1 fruit and 1 veggie and cereal along with on demand breast feedings. I'm a stay at home mom so I just feed her when she's hungry.

Renae is nearly 9 months now but at 5 months it was a bottle at 7 (150mL), 9 (150mL), 11am (150mL), she'd sleep until 4 and have a bottle when she woke up (150mL) then a bottle at 7 before bed (sometimes only 50mL but sometimes more).

I have two boys and when they were 5-7 months; i was giving them an 8oz bottle of formula and a 1/4 of the container of their veggies or fruit what ever they were eating that day... For the first feeding and the last feeding I would give them a scoop of cereal and mix the fruit or veggie with it. Some times they finish their bottle and sometimes they don't; they're like us, sometimes we're hungry; sometimes we're not. They set their own scheduled times. They ate every four hours.... Mine wake around 7:30am, and they are hungry around 8am,12pm,4pm,8pm. Hope that helped...

my son is 5 1/2 months now and still only takes 4 1/2 oz of formula every 2-5 hours. I've tried giving him more but he just spits it up. I have started feeding him cereal and veggies in the evening though. He gets about 32-40oz of formula in a 24hour period. My doctor thinks thats too much but hey...he's hungry...I feed him. I have a friend whose baby is 2 months older and when he was 5 months he was drinking 9 oz every 4 hours and eating twice a day.

My oldest started solids at 5 months old and by 6 months was eating about 4 tablespoons each of fruit/veggie and cereal at least once a day and at least something at the other 2 meals. She wolfed just about anything we gave her. By the time my youngest came along, recommendations had changed so I didn't start her on solids until 6 months. She was completely different--didn't really take to anything until she was 9 months old and could finger feed herself. Even now at almost 11 months, she barely grazes at each meal and mostly breastfeeds. She's totally healthy and the doctor is not worried, so we aren't. Just to say there is a really wide range of normal!

9am-4-6oz bottle, 5tbsp cereal mixed with water and formula.
noon-half jar baby food(small jar) 4-6oz bottle
3pm-on occasion she will need a 6oz bottle
5pm-half jar baby food(small jar) 4-6oz bottle
7pm-5tbsp cereal with water and formula and a 6oz bottle
My daughter is almost 7 months old and has been on the same schedule since about 4 months as far as cereal goes, food since about 5 months . My daughter also only eats meats and veggies, none of the jarred food is fruit yet. She does not like the taste of it and it's best to hold off on fruit until they acquire a good taste for veggies or they wont want veggies. MY son was the same way and he's now 2.5yrs old and loves all fruits and veggies:)

My daughter is 19 weeks old and has a boob at 07:30 for about 20mins then another boob about 10:00 followed by a little bit of baby porridge. Boob (about 20-30 mins worth) at 13:30 then boob at 16:30 followed by some home made dinner (mash, sweet potato, carrots, peas etc) Then more boob about 19:30 and then bed time boob around 22:00. She'll then sleep through till the morning :-)
I hope this helps anyone breasting feeding as most of the comments below relate to bottle feed babies.

I forgot to mention i rotate days with the baby food,, one day i will feed him fruits then the next day a vegitable, so on.... And if he wakes up in the middle of the night i will give him 6oz of formula with cereal in a bottle. When i put the cereal in his bottle i put about and ounce and then fill it to 6 oz with formula.

My son is 7 months and breastfeeds on demand, usually 5-8 times in 24 hours, sometimes more sometimes less. He also gets cereal with fruit for breakfast, fruit or veggies for lunch, and veggies or different things for dinner.

I breast feed so I don't know how many ounces she eats but she eats about every 3 hours. I tried giving her some sweet potatoes and she seemed to like it but then she became fussy and I think she was constipated so I stopped. Is this a normal adjustment to solids? My other daughter is 11 and I really don't remember.

my son is 7 months old in 5 days and for the last 2 months he has been having 1 weetbix beetween 7-8am then a 250ml bottle 1/2 -1hour later depending on how hungry he is.. then he will have either a juice or a yogurt depending on weather (e.g. warm or cool weather that day) between 12.30-1 depending on how long he sleeps, at 2-2.30pm 250ml bottle, then at 6pm a bowl of vegies and 250ml bottle about 6.45pm. bed at 7pm sleeps till 6.30am-7.00am (sometimes later) but every baby is different and some need more or less food as others, my son made his own routine up and changes as he gets older with when he wants food.

My 6 month old eats 1 bottle (roughly 7-9 ounces) of formula when she wakes up in the morning, usually sometime between 5 and 7. Her next feed is usually around 9 or 10:00 and is a jar of baby food with a bit of rice cereal. Then around noon she has another full bottle of formula. Then around the 3:00 mark she has another jar of food (usually veggies at this feed) with 4 or 5 ounces of formula. Then she'll have her last daytime feed anywhere from 5 to 7 before bedtime. Occasionally she will still wake up around 10 or 11pm wanting a feed, but most nights after that "dinner" feed around 6pm she's down for the next 10-12 hours without anything.
