My kids listen to whatever is on the radio, for the most part the stations still play "clean" versions of song. If I download a song to my phone I try to make sure I get the clean version but I listen to all genres of music. I have to say it's pretty funny listening to my 6 year old sing the songs on the radio.

My 5yr old listens to just the normal top 40 rock that you turn any station too.

"Normal" music is just fine. My son (5yrs) loves to rock out to Black Label Society and my daughter (2) likes to dance to that We No Speak Americano song and sings to Wake Me Up Before You Go lol

My kids both like whatever's on the radio. Dad and I are both "classic" rock types, although I'll listen to anything with a good beat. My kids are the same. The more upbeat, the better. As they get older, they'll start to bring in some of their own taste, but don't be surprised if your kids end up listening to much the same genres that you do!

I just banned any of the "gansta rap" and anything with cursing in it.

I've never done actual 'toddler' music unless you count the CDs that came from Kohls with Sandra Boynton. The ones we have (my mom bought them for my older daughter) are Philadelphia Chicken, Rhinocerous Tap and Dog Train. Here's the link on Amazon http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_2...

But as Krista said, just listen to what you like. My daughters (7 and 1) listen to country music and whatever else I have.

Yeah, we don't do "toddler music" either. I would say to just listen to what you like, and just double-check it for language, if that's your thing. There's nothing wrong with exposing children to a broad variety of musical genres, from classical to ska to blues, to whatever floats your boat. You may be surprised by what your kid likes!

My son (almost 4) love all the Christian and Country music that I listen to. ;) We actually don't do 'toddler music' in our house.
