What time did you start the potty training process??

My little girl will be one in June this year. She has been walkin for almost a month now. She's been ahead in a lot of things except the teeth part but we're comin along there :). But I am also expecting my second lil girl in Sept. and it would be very helpful for her to be potty trained or atleast on a way there. But I don't know what too early is too early. I know people say once you start don't stop so that is what is kind of making me nervous if I start now. Just like some input on when you mothers started the potty training process.. I know it can be a bit frustrating but its gotta start somewhere :)

I have b/g twins and my girl started knocking on the bathroom door and lifting her shirt when she was about 18 months old. They are 19 1/2 months now and my son has no interest in potty training. He has gone in the potty a few times when you set him on there but doesn't ask like she does. My girl is about a month ahead of my boy in every milestone though. She was born first.

Oh.... and frustrating? The only frustration w/ my son was the fact that he didn't even start to give up the diapers til he had been fully trained for a month. He turned 3 two months ago and still has never had an accident... day OR night... other than a couple of times that he got his underwear slightly damp (day only)......

My girls were about a year and a half when we started potty training.... It took a year for them to be day trained (nights were a lot later).

I didn't potty train my son at all and he was potty trained day AND night at the same age his sisters were just barely day trained.

When to start is when they are ready and I'm a BIG believer in child led training because of my experiences.
