My 6 month old has had fever for 2 days went to the doctor and was told is just a cold. They just told me to give him tylenol. What else can i do to help him since this is supposeto go on its own he just threw up some of its formula but im also giving him formula? Anybody that can help me??

Give him the medicine as directed. Still give him formula but also give him some water to drink the same oz as he has of formula this will help to cool him down and clench his thirst. If he doesn't like or take the water make his his usual oz of formula but with one oz more water than usual. My daughter had cold as his age and was ill for around 5 days she would bring her formula up all the time and the doctor told me to put an oz more water to the formula and i was amazed it really worked! It's because the formula on their stomach does not always settle as usual when they're ill.If he's not getting and better take him back to the doctors.

If your child has a temperature to help to reduce it use regular dosage of infant paracetamol and infant ibruprophen if your child continues to have a high temperature then you should take him back to the doctors as this should not really last for more than 48 hours.
