Gabriel is a boys name, Gabrielle or Gabriella is for girls. I like Morgan! Morgana reminds me the bad witch in a disney movie.

I like Gabriel, but I would spell it Gabrielle to avoid the male/female confusion.

I like Morgana Abigail, that sounds pretty :D. My husband made up Takota for our daughter, we like it!! If you were looking for suggestions :D

Morgana was a porno star and Gabriel is a boys name. I had a boys name (Terry) and i was always teased and hated the name. I had it legally changed when I found the perfect name that suited me to a t. Its now Punkin, I have red hair , love punkins and everything the color orange, My momma hates it and won't call me by it but oh well , as for everyone else they have adopted to it really nicely. And other family members that said they wouldn't reform , well i told them that if they wanted to have me be pissed off and not talk to them unless they addressed me respectfully the way i do them then I would cut myself off from them. who do they love ? my name or me ? I am very happy with my new name though and my husband is tickled to death with it.

Sorry but the name Gabriel is a boys name.
They both are great names, but for a girl it's Gabrielle .

I like Abigail a lot, not so crazy about Gabriel (boys name) Gabrielle or Gabreilla would be better. Before you name your daughter Morgana though I would read or watch King Arthur. Morgana is a most evil witch. If you do decide on Morgana, perhaps you should go with Gabriel after all. Then her first name, Morgana, would be after one of literature's most evil characters and her middle name, Gabriel, would be after one of the most valient and heroic angels ever known.
Good luck and try to picture yourself with whatever name you pick as a junior or senior high school student.

I like Morgana Gabrielle. You could call her Gabby. I named my daughter Shaunna Madison and we call her Maddie. My newest addition is Summer Sage and I worried my entire pregnancy on what to name her. My husband and I couldnt agree on anything. Atleast you two can agree on names. It will come to you. I did not know exactly what I was going to name either of my girls until they were born. Just do your homework and it will come to you when the time is right. I have a boys middle name and I always hated it. It was also my dad's middle name. Kids made fun of it. My brother has a girls middle name. Go figure.

Abigail or Gabriella would be my choices. Gabriel is traditionally a boy's name. Room for confusion otherwise.

My vote would be for either Morgana Gabrielle or Morrigan Abigail. That way the flow (cadence) of them sounds right and it's still sticking close to your original choices. Good luck!!

Morgana is one of my favorite names! The cadence of both names is similar, but I would pair it with the last name and roll it around a few times before deciding.

I love the name Abigail. It's such an old name but so beautiful. That would definitely be my choice. I'd like to ask if you don't mind, does Morgana have a significant meaning to you or your family? Is it a passed down or a special combination to honor a loved one? Think about how the names flow together with the last name? Do they roll of your tongue or is it a twister for you? Again, I like Abigail but it might be too much to have two As so close together, maybe an option would be Morgan Abigail.

Sometimes we don't really know the final answer until we see the baby and then it hits you and you just know. Ultimately, it's your decision to name her what flows into your heart :) good luck!

Morgana is beautiful! Let me throw a few in the mix for middle names... isabela or just bella, neveh. What ever you decide I'm sure it will be as beautiful as she will be! Good. Luck!

I think if your down to those two options, maybe you can choose when she comes out and see which fits her best. That's what we did :)

Sourced from www.babynames.com:

The meaning of the name Morgana is Great Circle
The origin of the name Morgana is Welsh

The meaning of the name Abigail is Joy Of The Father
The origin of the name Abigail is Hebrew

The meaning of the name Gabriel is God Is My Strength
The origin of the name Gabriel is Hebrew

The meaning of the name Gabrielle is God Is My Strength
The origin of the name Gabrielle is French
Notes: Feminine form of the name Gabriel

Sometimes knowing the meaning and origin of a name can help. Your baby's name is up to you and hubby, but I would definitely consider Gabrielle as an alternative to Gabriel...and do consider the initials...if you go with Morgana Abigail and your last name begins with D she would have the initial M.A.D.

Either of you choices is lovely. Enjoy your little girl, no matter what she is called!

Morgana Abigail has a better ring to it but I like both. I would look at all the initial combinations (especially with the last name), nickname possibilities, etc. before putting it in ink! We had a couple names we really liked but when we looked at what the initials would be we changed our minds real fast. Good Luck!

I like the name Morgana, but it is the name of King Arthur's half sister and she was a witch. The name Morgan might be better; it means Morning in German. Abigail is nice, but Gabriel is a boy's name and I am not in favor in giving girls boy's names. How about giving her a meaningful middle name, like a beloved relatives name, for example?

Firstly, Congrats on the pending arrival of your daughter.
I like both combinations. However, you have the final say when it comes to naming your daughter.
You could also take into consideration her initials by which she coul be called by. My daughter is Adeline Judith and she could be called AJ for short. :)

Both are good. Keep in mind that Gabriel is traditionallt a boys name in Latin cultures, if this makes any difference to you.
