What was your back up names & what did you end up naming your child?

For some reason I new I was going to have 3 boys, I don't know why but I always said I would have 3 boys and call them Reece, Conner and Tayler...... But the funny thing is I did end up having 3 boys and when they were born they just didn't suit those names, I just looked at them and the name didn't fit the face, I went through the whole baby name book and called them every name until I found one that I think suited their little face. I decided on Aaron, Cameron and Josh (Joshua) .

My eldest son was going to be Portia had he been a girl or Declan, Angus or Jake, until we found the perfect name, Saxon Henry. My second son Axle would have been Skylah Ruby if he was a girl. I am on my 3rd boy who currently doesnt have a name but would have been Alexis Mercedes if he was a girl

For my first, we couldn't decide between Thomas and Owen for if it was a boy, and we had like 7 names for if it was a girl! (mostly because I was pretty set on Ursula, which my husband loathed) We were not very organized. :)



After he was born, we stared at him for a couple of hours and decided on Thomas.



I'm pregnant now, and we haven't even discussed names yet. I'm only 15 weeks along, so we have plenty of time.

He's Ethan John. John is my FIL's name and hubby's middle name. I really didn't like the name Ethan when hubby first mentioned it, but it grew on me and Ethan seemed to like it too. He would wriggle and kick in my belly every time the name was mentioned.

Lol I know, my mom says the same thing but I absolutely love the name Ethan and Allen is my dads middle named who passed when I was only 1

Ethan Allen makes me laugh as that is a huge furniture store chain here.

No way! I always love the name Etahn, and when I eventually have a son I plan on maing him Ethan Allen.

My son was always Ethan, didn't have a back up name. If he had been a girl he would have been Ashleigh.
My daughter is Ashleigh. I also considered Skye or Teagan, didn't have a boys name picked out.

Never had a back up name. I knew what there names would be 100% from the moment we found out the genders.

1st name was Colby from the moment we found out he was a boy, girls name was Olivia
2nd Austin always knew it would be his name, girls name was Kylie
3rd Brady always knew it would be his name, girls name Savannah
4th Bentley had both our girls and boys name by the time I was 10wks pregnant, girls name Olivia

With my son we had no backup name, he was always going to be Benjamin. If he was a girl he would have been Natalie. When we had our second child (a girl) we DID name her Natalie, but we also considered Emily and Mary. If she was a boy she would have been Jacob Joseph (my hubby's name is Joseph) and we would have called her(him) JJ.
