Frozen or old washers. A cold Banana on a paddle pop stick. Avoid bonjela if you are using it a lot, it should only be used occasionly. Other things that are natural, Jess are
* Weledga Teething Powder
* Hylands Teething Tablets
* Brauers Teething Relief
The last three items you can find at your pharmacy or at your local Health Food store (the health food stores near you are probably GoVita and Healthy Life...look them up on the internet)

It's not a teething gel, but Hyland's Teething Tablets work great, and are all natural. My little guy hated every single gel, and got a lot of great feedback from other moms about the tablets. They're small and taste pleasant, and dissolve on contact, so no fear of choking. It seems to last longer than gels too.

I used to use Bonjela but there has been rumours that it can make children hyper or ill.
I use Dentinox now XX

My son gets terrible diarrhea when he's teething, i found ashton and parsons powders (available in chemists, boots, etc) a real god send. They are completely natural and combat all the problems associated with teething not just the sore gums!!!

Im a Bonjela fan too. Also its only the adult gels that have been deemed to have a possible link to Reye Disease - the infant teething gel (which is the one you would use on a bub anyway) doesnt have the ingredient creating the suspected link. I can also vouch for it myself coz a used it for my wisdom teeth and it worked really well :)

Its not a natural one, but I would recommend Night time orajel. It has more of the pain killer in it. Also I have heard of a all natural pill that you can dissolve in a bottle to give them. PPL I know have use it and swear by it. My daughter wasn't a bad teether so I didn't have to use it. Hope this helps.

Ok apparently Reye’s syndrome is incredibly rare and it is a POSSIBILITY ( a very small one ) that it could be linked to this .
There have been no confirmed cases of Reye’s syndrome associated with Bonjela or Bonjela Cool.
If you are worried about this then by all means seek out other teething gels or you could use hylands teething tablets , frozen wet washcloths for baby to chew , dried banana's , teething rings and or panadol ( baby pain relief ) only for those really painful days !
My bubba is 9 and a half months he is also teething , he only gets the gel once or twice a week at the most when he is really hurting , most of the time he just gets plenty of cool things to chew on and a lot of TLC .

It is basically the same as Bonjela , a sugar free aniseed gel .
I prefer Bonjela .
It seems to always work for my little one !
