I've never heard of a cervix tear either. The cervix is the bit which holds the baby in when you're pregnant and it dilates to let the baby out. The perieneum tears when babies come out.

Lol they did, but I only took the hard stuff once, the rest of the time was just panadol which seemed to work just fine.

Wow a google fail? First time for everything hehe

I would say if you feel fine down there then it most likely is, however I'm not a doctor or a nurse so prolly best to see a professional :D

Call them back and see what they can arrange, I would assume (well I reckon so anyways lol) it's a good idea to get checked over after childbirth, especially if you've had tearing.

I've never heard of the Cervix tearing, are you sure it was your Cervix that tore?

I didn't tear my Cervix, the bit in between (I think) your Vagina and Anus tears (how much does THAT suck and boy does it make it uncomfortable to sit lol) but That's what happened with me. I had stitches too. 45 minutes it took them to stitch me back up! They did do an excellent job though I must say.

There is only one more degree worse than 3rd and that's 4th degree, so while I have no knowledge of a cervix tearing I would say all tearing is serious and requires enough healing time.

Well i have been unable to make an appointment apparently my doc is on vacation and a nurse was suppose to call me to figure something out but she never called. Is that what tearing you cervix is 3rd degree? Just how serious is a tear to the cervix do you know?

Do you have a 6 week post natal check up with your doctor? If you don't make one, and get your doctor to check you over and give the ok. I'm sure it's fine but for myself I'd want to (and did get) the Doctor's ok first, I had 3rd degree tearing myself.
