When should I start decorating the nursery during my pregnancy?

Yep your nesting instinct will tell you! Do it when you want to - not when you feel you should. You'll get so much more pleasure out of it that way. :)

GIRL ITS A BLESSING!! SO HAVE FUN, ITS AN AWSOME EXPIRIENCE I STARTED WHEN I WAS LIKE 5 MONTHS PUTTING WOOD FLOORS. CHANGING LIGHT FIXURE ECT. BY THE TIME BABYSHOWER CAME I HAD EVERYTHING IN THE ROOM AND I HAD MY BABY SHOWER 1MONTH AND 1/2 B4. ENJOY EVERY DETAIL.. PPL START SAYING THING OHH DONT DO IT CAUSE OF THIS AND THAT AND START MAKING U SCARED BUT DONT BELIVE THEM... U AND YOUR BABY R BLESSED AND EVERYTHING IS GOING TO COME OUT PERFECTLY FINE... i guess as soon as you found out the gender..coz thats my mistake bfore,i never do anything to my son's room coz am waitin 1 month bfore i gve birth but i was 8 mos pregnant and i went to my doc.appointment and i ended up having a baby i was 5 weeks early..

I kept all 4 of my babies in a bassinet next to my bed, they don't need much more than their mother to begin with. If you want any painting done it's never to early to get that out of the way. I would start with the mom sanctuary, a comfy rocker or chair and low table or basket next to it to keep the things you'll need later... but for now water bottles and nutirgrain bars(or whatever your fav. unperishibles)mommy magazines, nail file and books. Aim at being "done" 8 weeks before the due date. You might go nuts if you're finished at 4months prego. I'd spread projects out, neccessities first, and 3 year old Easter dresses last. So if things start getting hairy towards the end of pregnancy and you haven't completed as much as you would like ....breathe and let it go. Things will start to level out at 2 months of age and you can get back to obsessing over a perfect nursery.

Whenever you want! That's the fun part :) I did our son's a bit throughout my pregnancy and then towards the end I really went crazy! The whole nesting thing really got me :) Enjoy and have fun. Congrats and best wishes for a beautiful delivery!

you can decorate whenever u want to. i had my daughters room done 2 months before she was born. 1- so i cud rest up the last few weeks and 2- because i was so excited, it was nice when it was all done because i would just go sit in the nursery n talk to baby and sing to her. then tell her all about the things that we had waiting for her. it was my bonding time with her in that room!

oh do i have a funny story! I had my ultra sound at 25 weeks and they said we were having a girl so we had a baby shower and everything was pink, I painted the room pink and purple with butterflies.well the next ultra sound they checked it out again and the nurs said its gonna be a boy! needless to say we spent alot of money to change the room to boy and had alot of returns. So just be sure you know 100% what you are having or you will have alot to keep you busy

ohhh fun!! i'd say, whenever you get the urge! Have a good time :) ps. it's easier to put furniture together when ur belly isn't too big :)
