brittany, it may be too early for her to start but if you keep doing what you are doing she will pick it up and use it on her own when she feels ready i had to put my daughter on it at first but eventually she started telling me when she needed it

Bella is fifteen months and she will pee on her potty if you put her on it, but she doesnt show any interest in doing it otherwise, too early to start?

You will know when your child is ready to train...

My oldest was 2, but my youngest was 3! Also I was a nanny a few yrs. ago, and one of those children was 4 before he was trained! You will know when your child is ready...Have fun!

i started potty training my eldest at the age of 2 and a half, she is now 3 and fully toilet trained, she doesnt have a potty anymore she uses the toilet day and night, it wasnt easy but does get easier you will know when your child is ready once you start dont give up no matter how hard it is, all kids get there eventually

I started potty training my kids when they were 2.5. I had a boy then a girl. It seemed like it was harder to potty training my daughter. My boy always watched me go potty, so he thought he had to pee like a girl. He finally broke that habit when he was 5.

I didn't "train" exactly but I introduced the concept of not peeing and pooping on oneself from birth. THey were consistently using the potty at 5 or 6 months old and totally out of diapers at 16 and 18 months.

You will notice signs that your child may give off that he/she is ready
My son is 17 mths old. I plan on trying it and getting him familiar with the potty when he is 2.
But every child is different. Most toddlers aren't interested in the potty at that early of an age. But usually you will know when your child is ready

I began to start with my oldest when he was about 2... he's now 2 1/2 and is still not potty trained... I have found though, that I have the best luck when I let him run around the house stark naked, and just keep reminding him to use the potty... today we had two #1's and one #2 on the potty!!! Good Luck!
