When will I feel the baby kicking?

I'm 21 weeks pregnant with my first baby, and I still haven't felt my baby really kicking me yet. I've had the weird fluttery feeling that some baby sites describe, but they're few and pretty far between. I've read and been told I should feel real kicks soon, but I've been getting worried that I haven't felt them yet. When should I start feeling my baby really kick me?

When I first started feeling movement I thought the same thing that it was a weird fluttery feeling, then one day she rolled over while I was in bed and I saw and felt my belly move, it was amazing, but I think I was at about 25-26 weeks or so. I'm 37 1/2 weeks now, and most of her movement is at night when I'm trying to sleep, makes me miss the fluttering... I've known a couple people who never felt movement, one slept thru it all at night and her hubby got a massage from the baby's kicking and punching at night. Just remember everyones different... if you end up not feeling much try getting a baby heartbeat listener just to ease your mind, thats what one of my friends did.

I felt the flutters, like you said, for a long time. . . . I'm only 5'2" and my daughter was pretty small throughout the whole pregnancy and I was never really huge like some women with the same small build are. I got a sudden "growth spurt" in my tummy around 23-24 weeks and that was when daddy could feel her and I noticed hiccups AND could start to see and feel her really kicking. But I've heard of some babies that just never really move around the whole pregnancy.

When I first started I was about 19-20 weeks. At first it just feels like a really light little flutter in your tummy. Very small and very faint. You should be expecting them any time!

I felt my baby moving around at 4 months and kicking at 5 months. At first I thought that the movements was gas lol but my doctor told me that its her moving around in there, so be patient it'll happen. Oh Yeah sometimes they move and kick at night while we are sleeping.

Out of all my pregnancies I had, My boys never moved, but my girls moved every minute. One day my pregnancy I was about 30 weeks along she did summersult in side it was the coolest. But if you want them to move eat or drink something very sweet it wakes them up like orange juice. I hopes this works for you!

You are already feeling your baby move! That's what the fluttery feeling is. They won't turn into kick feelings until another couple of weeks... CONGRATS!

when you first start feeling them they feel nothing like kicks. if you are feeling weird fluttery feelings than you are feeling the baby. Baby is so small that he is doing flips and somersaults right now. i was scared too because i didnt know what to look for but i just delivered a beautiful baby boy 3 days ago. believe me when you start feeling the reall jarring kicks towards the end of your pregnancy you are gonna miss those fluttery little feelings you are having now...lol. good luck and congratulations.
