which diaper brand works? my boy leaks through pampers!

Pampers baby dry are awful, my 8 month old wakes up soaked. I don't want to wake and change her because she cries hysterically. We have tried all the huggies and pampers ones they have and none work. Why are diapers so thin, with only a slim maxi pad size absorbrnt section. What else is there besides pampers, luvs, and huggies? Please help.

i have actually found that pampers swaddlers work the best but if hes getting a little old you can use the cruiser.. my daughter used the swaddlers and then she started leaking and i switched to cruiser and there is no more leaking, they are much more flexible and stay in place better. some of huggies are ok too, but i used pampers on both of mine cause ifound that they worked the best for us!

I had the same problem with my son, I used every diaper I could buy and hated them all...until I found White Cloud...only sold at Wal-Mart...they are cheaper and they were the best diapers I used...go figure...soooo worth a trip to Wal-Mart.

I used pampers with my two girls & then with my boy I had the same problem you have & switched to huggies. They have worked great!

i found this with the pampers newborn range.. so i switched to huggies but now my daughter is out of the newborn range she is back on pampers. i cant remember the name.. they are the ones for when crawling.. active fit i think.. please guys dont listen to people put us down for using disposeables as they have in this thread.. its pathetic i know but some people just cant help it.. we are all great mums no matter what we put our babies in!!!!

Huggies! Even the brand in South Africa I think is better than Pampers. I had exactly the same problem when I bought Pampers for my baby girl. The baby is just too tiny for the elastic bit at the back and in the legs and thats why they leak. Also its a myth that you need a lot of barrier cream with a disposible nappy. In fact, some brands wont guarantee that the nappy won't leak if you DO use a barrier cream! If you change them regularly enough you shouldn't need the barrier cream.

Huggies worked awesome for my baby boy I don't change him through the night and i have not had a single leak. i did have tons of leaks with pampers as well. With pampers he would soak his clothes. I get mine at Walmart or Costco.

I didn't like the prices of pampers or huggies and tried various store brands. The best store brands were white cloud and target's brand. I haven't tried Safeway brand diapers, but I really liked their pull ups.

When our son was first born we used the pampers swaddlers, but then switched to huggies. When he started crawling and stopped going as much we switched back to the papers, the cruisers (which I love the stretch in them).

Gel stuff?!  UGH!  Gel stuff (which is extremely chemical and NOT good for anyone) gets all over your babies?!  And even if it doesn't it's in the diaper, in constant contact with their private parts?!  And people use disposables anyway.  Never fails to amaze me.

I prefer cloth diapers...we don't have leaks in those unless we wait way too long to change (4 - 5 hours). Get some prefolds and Snappis (sort of like ace bandage closures) and covers (not plastic pants) and it'll work. But there are tons of easier options too, www.bumgenius.com or www.happyheinys.com have super easy diapers that work just like disposables. They are also customizable in absorbency so you can make them work better if you have a super heavy wetter. If you have never looked into cloth you should, they are not your grandma's diapers!

Is he circumsized? We used too much jell on our first boy and it wicked all the pee to his clothes. We were changing him all the time and all night long, jammies, sheets, crib pad, everything. Once we cut down on the amount of jell and made sure he was pointing down all was well.

Huggies always worked best for my son who wet through every other diaper and Huggies overnights are wonderful. Pampers just came out with overnight diapers, too, and we tried them this week and they worked just as well. Though, I don't think the overnight diapers come in size 1 or 2.

How old is he? My kids all just sopped themselves every time they peed for about 2 months. I couldn't find anything that would contain it. After that I found that for us, Huggies were the best. I used them with all 4 of my kids and had no problems. I found that pampers leaked and, with my last child, leaked THROUGH the diaper- not just out the sides. I never had an issue with Huggies. They are really expensive but I figured the money I saved having to wash 5 outfits per day made up for it.

that is the problem with pampers. firstly u should call the customer care line and complain. then u should change to huggies gold. they r the best always. i am a mum of 4. i used pampers but had the same problem then i changed to huggies. GOOD LUCK

We started out with Pampers and switched to Luvs - they are much cheaper and work just as well. Huggies were terrible for us. Something with stretchy sides was the key with my little guy. He has no hips and no butt so anything else just slid off. Your son may just grow out of it too. My son went through a couple of stages when he was an infant where he just leaked no matter what you did. But as he grew it fixed itself. Good luck!

For us Pampers has always worked best. Constant leaking usually signified time to go up to the next size. When you get there, however, I swear by Huggies for their training pants! Best of luck to you.

I tried pampers and i couple other the only one that my son didn't leak through was Huggies. However make sure you are using the right size for your son, this can also cause problems. My son had to use premie even though he was almost 7 pounds when he was born. Also make sure his wee wee is pointing down so his pee is directed toward the diaper not out the diaper and too his clothes.

I use huggies now..when he was first born i used the pampers which worked fine for me but now i mainly use huggies natural fit the ones with Winnie the Pooh on em....but always when ur lil boy gets older they have overnight ones too which are fantastic cause my son always would pee out of his diaper at night

I had the same problem only it was Huggies. I finally figured out that if the diaper is a little bit larger there will be more room for the mess to go. My daughter was in Preemies for a week then she started to leak out the back and sides. So we ended up trying the Newborn size and it stopped, i use the leaking as a warning to change sizes. How big is he because he might need the size 1 if he is leaking out of the newborn size. I normally stick with the Pampers brand because it is the best against leaks for us. I also never follow the weight guide on the package because it never seems to be right. I hope this helps you.

I had the same problem with my first son when he was born. I must have tried 5 different brands of diapers! Then a friend told me to make sure his 'wee wee' was down when I fastened his diaper. Never again did he wet through his clothes! =)

I found that with my first child Jessica so we tried some of the shop brands and they were worse. Ended up using Huggies and have not looked back, sure the odd one leaks but then again that maybe due more to circumstances (such as poorly tummy).

I don't have any boys, but Huggies worked the best for my kids. They both had the same leakage problem that your experiencing. Huggies were the only diapers they didn't leak through.
