Which is the best way to sell the toys / accessories / car seats / cribs of your babies?

I have a 3 month old lottle girl and I need a crib so bad I can speed about 20 or 50 bucks but my car is not in the best shape to travel far but I really need one so of anyone has one that would be grate. I first see if any of my friends kids are the right size, everyone likes hand me downs!

Second Hand stores have to make money too, so you usually don't get to much. However it is better then nothing.

I find the very best is to have a flea market or community style sale~~you get the tables, you get the people in large numbers and you don't have to worry about weather!

Try have a blog about your items and try etsy or make your own website. You can also contact hospitals, daycares, schools, and ask them to put up flyers about a sale at your home. If you can restore the items you can us ebay and other seller sites. Type in your browser - selling used baby and childrens items.

Ebay. Just remember to accurately present the postage rate and decide if you're willing to post OS.i think that would increase your target market and chance of selling what you want.

Depending on where you live there are consignment sales all over the US. I sale at Just Between Friends, www.jbfsale.com, here's the web site if you want to check them out. Theres also kids connection. There's more then just those two so if you google consignment sales I'm sure a lot more will pop up. When you consign you just tag your items and hang clothes if you choose to sale them. Take them to the drop off and the volunteers will direct you want to do, at the end of the sake you pick up your unsold items or if you choose to donate your items then all you have to do is wait for your check. There are certain % of money you get depending on how much you want to do. All the information is on their website.

Do you have any big consignment sales in your area? You can usually make 60-80%. Most of the big ones do it twice a year. Spring/Summer and a Fall/Winter. The big one here is KidzExchange.

Craigslist and 2nd hand shops are usually the best way to go, outside of having a garage sale. Are there any places by you that do Mom-to-Mom sales? If not, maybe you can organize one through your church or another community group. Generally there is a fee to have a table in the sale but then I'm pretty sure you keep all the money from your sales.



Be careful selling cribs though. Make sure the one you want to sell is not on the banned list...it's illegal to sell them. Mostly drop side cribs I think.

Look in your area for a twin club. The twin club in my area does a yard sale twice a year. You mark the items and then they sale them. They take about 10-20% of the profit.

You could also try getting table at a Mom to Mom sale if you have those in your area. That is the best way in my opinion.

Yard sales are the best, I think. I gave everything away to a secondhand store that raises money for charity, and kept records of it for taxes. Also, I gave some things away on Freecycle. I had this idea in my head that people might be more likely to pick me to give stuff to that I wanted, if they saw me giving stuff away. It didn't seem to make a difference though. Anyway, it was a little easier for me, we did get something back, and I didn't have to hassle with trying to sell it.

Thanks for your reply. I did try taking them to the second hand shops. The price distribution is 50 - 50 thought right (they keep half the price of what the product is sold at?). Was just wondering if there's a website / way out there where it's more like 75 - 25.

I take them to second hand shops. They don't take car seats though. Everything else they do. Google second hand shops in your area.
