They definately scoot and move a few feet, but they slide themselves (well gavin slides back, lol). Also, they can sit up with our help and stay on a bed, but not the floor. I received a text from "text4baby" saying if baby isn't sitting up or crawling, immediately ask the doctor about developmental issues, which scared me. Family members are telling us "they are fine, they are fine!!" but, I would just like to hear from other moms!

All babies develope at their own rates. Some babies do not crawl at all, some walk before they crawl. It is easier for some to sit up on some surfaces than others. They are still young and sound like they get around very well for themselves. Do not push them and do not worry. You can play different floor games with them to work the muscles needed for these things. When they are on the floor you can prop them up with pillows so they can learn to balance while sitting on the floor. You can also play with them on the floor with you in a crawling position. There are many factors to consider and whether they were born premature or full term also plays a part. If they older than 1 year and still have trouble with sitting up, I would ask their doctor about it, but them crawling is not much to worry about. Remember they may just have found a way to get around they like better until they start walking. If you set them up in a crawling position and they get out of it right away, it may not feel comfortable to them, which is also fine.
