Maybe he's not ready, or doesn't like it. When he's ready he'll just grab food off your plate and eat it. That's my (lazy!) way of introducing solids.

It all depends on how old your child is. Even if he's 6 months, it can take them a long time to learn how to eat. Both of my kids were 8-9 months before they really took to it. It also is pretty bland too (have you ever tried it?). Maybe something homemade and pureed?

how old is your baby? if he is around 6 months , he will be trying it of course and they don't eat alot at first, their bodies have to digest it first. It takes time. If he is older and has eaten baby food, he will shut his mouth up if he is teething. mine does this.
