Will this work??? Sleeping diapers.

My 3 month old has just started to pee/poo out of her diapers at night. She is right now 15lbs and I have her in 2s. I have some size 3 diapers that I got for my shower. Should the 3s hold more and not have her waking up in the morning with poop/pee jammies? She sleeps pretty consistently from about 9:30 to 6 or 7.

If that won't work, what should I do??

I say the rubber diapers are a go!!! They have that elastic and you can buy maybe 4 or 5 and have them for a while. My 5 month old, and this is terrible, pooped out of her diaper into her car seat, through the fabric into the base. I didn't know and put her in her stroller and got poop EVERYWHERE, I mean it was all over the place. And I went shopping with her like that. I was breastfeeding and, well, the poop doesn't smell as much. So I feel for you :)

Personally I use cloth diapers and this does not happen! I would recommend them. www.bumgenius.com those are nice. I sewed my own though. These you can stuff with as much as you need plus poop blowouts do NOT happen in cloth.

If you don't want to go that way, I believe you can buy diaper doublers for disposables. There are also night diapers, and going up a size usually helps.

I had the same problem with my son. I used to use the one size larger diapers at night only. I would also change him one last time before I would go to bed. This usually worked for me. If your baby is a very light sleeper you might not be able to do that. I was lucky in the fact that he would not wake up during the last diaper change. Best of Luck!

If going up a size doesn't work, you may want to try another brand of diapers. I'm a pamper's fan myself...

Thankyou for being a mom who reasons in the same way I do! Certainly give it a try because it sounds like it would work. Good luck to you.

Quoting Angela:

She is breast fed also, so I am pretty proud of my little girl and her growth. When I told my hubby was was going to nurse he was scared that she wasn't going to get enough food to eat and wouldn't grow well, but we (her and I) showed him up. Now he doesn't doubt me.

Breast fed babyare so much healthier then formula babies. you're doing a great job. Just use the three huggies at night and make it a little tightier around the legs, but not to tight that causes her legs to change colors. If they are to tight she will cry. Hang in there

I will definately have to get those for late night blow-outs. I feel bad when they happen. She did it once when she was in her bouncy and I was in the shower. When I got out she was kind of fussy but would smile and laugh when I talked to her and shook her toy in front of her. When I unsnapped the bouncy seat front her whole onesie was wet with poop and the bottom of her bouncer was poop filled as well. It made me feel like a bad mom big time! She didn't seem to mind too much though...

I usually use huggies for night time because those seem to pull the poop and pee away from her skin better than the other diapers. I put her in the 3 Huggies. During the day I put about anything on her. I have some Parent's Choice a few Huggies, Pampers. I am a rookie mom, so I am willing to experiment.

Oh My!!! At least she's healthy!!! I have heard from many mom's to go a size bigger....however I would think they would leak. What brand do you use? That may make a difference, I used to think they were all the same. They have sheet protecters and also the plastic diapers that you could put on over the diaper. The ones used for potty training but they're re-usable.

try making the diapers a little tighter around the legs. The 3 will hold more but need more elastic around the legs. If that doesn't work try rubber pants over the diapers
