I first heard of this case of child abuse shortly after I had my daughter and have always had nightmares since then of how this is the world we live in:

Please, if you aren't fit to handle having a child be honest with yourselves and give them up for adoption there are people who want them and will cherish them.

I posted this video a week ago and I cried for an hour, couldn't get it out of my head. It is so so sad and inexcusable. Being young doesn't have anything to do with someone being so evil they bite their infant so hard it leaves bruising. And molesting an infant that young (or any age) makes me just sick to think about. She was beautiful, innocent, precious and deserved to be loved. I'm disgusted by it to the point that I wish horrible horrible things on those people, I know they will get what they deserve when they go to hell.

before being adopted my father abused my half sister, she had a broken leg, cigarette burns, bruises, another of my mother's boyfriends belted me and my brother so i do know what abuse is like, i was just pointing out adoption doesn't solve everything

Helen: I'm sorry that you felt unwanted after your adoptive parents split up, but what happened to you and what happened to baby Brianna are two completely different topics all together. I meant for those type of parents (and I shutter to even use the word parents in regards to those people... the one's who don't actually want the child for anything but to abuse and to never love) to give up their children for adoption.

Why would someone want to hurt a child? I have never understood why someone would do that. That video is very sad and I have tears in my eyes.

but adoption isn't always the answer either, i am one of five and we have all been adopted, only my brother and I together. my adoptive parents split and divorved about 9 years after our adoption and scared me enormously, i felt that it was all my fault and that no-one wanted to be my parent. I am now so lucky to have found my sister some 28 years after we were seperated

You are right blaming it on the fact that she was a young mother is absurd. Age has nothing to do with it. There are plenty of young moms out there who are doing a perfectly wonderful job at raising and caring for their babies. It has to do with the individual not her age. And everyone in the household should be charged with willful indifference and neglect in a case like this.

What I dont like is that they blame it on her being a young mother! What they need to do is check her common freakin sense!

There was definitely something wrong with the whole family, even the grandmother did nothing. not one picture of the child in the home is disturbing just on its own, I think it represents the fact that no one in that home ever saw her as a human being.

May she RIP now.

Yes, I watched this one a few days ago and I couldn't stop crying. It really disturbed me deeply. Even just remembering the video now I struggle with keeping the tears back. It is absolutely tragic.
