Something I am forever saying to my children when they are struggling with schoolwork and being hard on themselves is.......No one is stupid, everyone is able to do something that someone else cannot its what we can excel on that makes us special.

I am not a new mom. My children are grown and have children of their own which delights me. I love being a grammie! My four year old grandson was with his buddy(another four year old). They were having an worldly conversation (as only four year old boys can) about learning new things. Aaron said, "You know whenever we learn something new we get a brand new wrinkle in our brain!" Daniel, his friend, said, "When your brain gets filled up...where do the wrinkles go?" Aaron replied, "On the outside, doncha' know?" That makes getting older and wiser a little easier! :)

My name is Christina and I have a 3 month old daughter, at my baby shower someone gave me two heart necklaces, a big one that says "mother" and small one that says "daughter". The quote that came with it is "A mother teaches her daughter how to dream and a daughter teaches her mother how to love." When things are bad, because I'm a single mom I think of that and things aren't so bad.

I was given a book called "1001 Things it Means to be a Mom." at my baby shower and it's full of all sorts of cute little things for children of all ages. One of my favorites is "Being a mom means convincing the cranky nurse at the pediatrician's office that your child is the sickest three-month-old on the planet."

Just want to share a little something with ya"ll. I try to find the strength I need to calm the doubts in my beliefs with the will, I know my heart won't break. And if I have strength then I have belief, If I have love, my heart still beats here under the stars far from home. This is what my 20 year old daughter e-mailed me. I loved it, hope u all do. Oh i miss her so very much, she's going to college at Cincy State. and then transferring over to UC , umm, i think in Jan.2011. You really miss them after they leave, cuz i cried & cried when she relocated , but i look at it this way, She's just out in this world doing what she knows is true, right? First of all I would like to say, my baby days are over. I'm 50 years old with 3 wonderful children that aren't babies anymore my son is 30, next daughter is 20 and my youngest daughter is 18. And, let me tell all you mothers's out there still having babies something; I really miss having babies, i mean no no no, not going thru the pain and all that cuz I had all 3 of my children natural, yeh. I loved feeling my babies moving inside my belly and watching my belly as a little hand or foot, etc would poke through my belly. Than, omg, when i delivered all 3 of my children, and my Dr. would hand me up my precious little bundle of joy, I COULD NOT WAIT to see there little eyes open so i could bond with them, I truly have to admit those were 3 times in my life I could not have been any happier, higher, even the feeling of falling in love for the 1st time was nothing compared to bonding with my 3 children when they were 1st born and that 1st time I got to bond w/them. Just thinking about right now makes me smile but go, aaah darn "dear lord" I wish u would allow me to relive those 3 times having my children over again, so I turned 50 last July and yes my baby days are over but any of the mother's out there wanna share some feelings or talk to me about the 1st time you've bonded with your children, just get on COM;s and I'd be more then glad to read some your stories about the way you felt the 1st time you got to bond with your children. Have fun having your babies. I did, and wished I could have at least 2 or 3 more babies with my fiance of 8 years but instead now I'm just waiting on becoming a Grandmother. I can't wait!!!
