Does anyone here work from home with a contracting business?

Just wondering if anyone out there is in the middle of a male dominated industry that the construction/contracting field is and yet working from home. Could be your hubby's business, your dad's or other relatives or a non relative who owns the business. Maybe YOU even own the business! I'd love to start discussions about what life is like for us so we can connect for support! Thanks, Girls!

Our company only has two employees besides my husband and I. There is not enough work for me to put in full time hours. This suits me fine, because I worked full time while raising my children who are now in their teens. With my husband putting so much time into his work (often 6-7 days/week). I found myself overwhelmed with the responsibility of caring for the girls and taking care of all the housework. It's been over two years since I left my job and my only complaint is that I miss being around people. Sounds you are quite busy!

Christine, yes, this is exactly what I mean! Do you help full time or part time? I work often beyond full time and I am more on the sales and marketing and admin end of things. Some bookkeeping as well with the software we use and my assistant's help.

Hi Jennifer! I am working from home doing the admin/bookkeeping work for my husband who has a small business in the construction field. Is that the sort of thing you're talking about?
