Hi, I have only been working at home since July of this year and for the most part I think its been a good change. I worked at a hospital as a transcriptionist for 12 years and so this is a pretty big change for me. I really miss co-worker conversation. My cowokers are now my animals and they don't talk to me. That has been the hardest part because that was my favorite part of work was socializing. Maybe this will help make up for it.

Hey, I'd really love to find out how to work for a legitimate transcription company. I went to college for 2 years and got my certificate as a Medical Transcriptionist and would love to work for someone from my home. Do you have any suggestions?

I am just finishing my course through at home professions. Did you start looking for a job previous to finishing the course? I am looking to talk to someone in the field, so I can work at home as a mom of 2 just entering school. If you can add any advise, it's much appreciated.

I've worked from home for about 7 years and recently had a baby in April. Working from home takes getting used to. What I have found to help me is to use AIM or any Instant Messenger to keep connected with the people I work with and with friends. Its the equivalent of someone popping up at your cubicle to to talk to you. I also schedule calls with the people I work with to get that interaction.

This will help and you also need to get involved in mom's groups...playdates, etc. It really helps to be able to talk to others who are in the same boat! Arrange get togethers with moms in your area...for example, Im hosting a cookie swap next month....SO much fun!!!!
