Ladies,

Ads & Solicitations are being removed in accordance with CoM Guidelines (these can be found by clicking the 'Guidelines' tab at the bottom of the page).

Members posting ads or solicitations will have their threads / comments deleted and may be blocked from posting here for repeated violation of the CoM guidelines.

Comment signatures promoting your business / website / company/ blog / facebook pages/ or containing contct information, ie: phone numbers, e-mail address, etc. will also result in the deletion of your comment / thread, so please do not use your business signatures here.

If a post violates our policy against solicitations, it will be deleted. This is stated in our Terms and Conditions, which you agreed to when you signed up. If you're unable to respect this policy we will have to block your membership. The policy is restated below this message for your reference.

While we're glad that you're excited about your business or product and that you're eager to help and share, if we permitted solicitations in our communities or through personal messages, Circle of Moms would be over-run with them. We've designated the Mom Store and the Work-from-Home Business Opportunities Community as the go-to places to learn about members' businesses and products, and we welcome you to post in either or both of those places.

Policy on Solicitations

The following are considered solicitations and are not allowed on Circle of Moms:

- Work from home recruitment pitches

- Ads for your company or business. This includes but is not limited to dieting programs and books you have authored.

- Requests for votes in a contest being held outside of Circle of Moms

- Requests for donations to a charitable cause

- Diaper discount codes

-"Contact me for more info"

-Business links / signatures

If you wish to post an author's or researcher's query, you must seek written permission from both the Circle of Moms community management team and the Admin of the community you are targeting. Start by sending an e-mail to herna@circleofmoms.com.

You may post descriptions of your business, ie: what you do, which company you work for / own, a list of products - you may NOT post a link to your site or to the company site.

You may not spam our members. Members wishing to find out more information will contact you via private message.

Members looking for business opportunities should read the pinned thread "Market Yourself" to find out information on specific businesses and will then be able to contact any member whose opportunities interest them via private message.

CoM charges a fee for advertising. It is 50.00 (USD) for 1 year of advertising in the Mom Store. If you wish to advertise, please use this link, pay the fee, and take out an ad.

The Mom Store can be accessed through your Circle of Moms homepage.

Violators of these guidelines will receive one warning. Further violations will result in termination of your account.

Thank you for your cooperation,

Here is the key: YOU don't PM a potential client, THEY PM you. If you are doing this that is soliciting and a big no no *wags finger*

Even I have gotten Pm's from Melalueca, not ok!! I know this is a huge change, but the way this community was being run was not following the guidelines.

OK, I it appears that any website, even if it is one which provides information, will be banned. I understand spamming, but I am trying to be helpful and don't want to be banned from the site! So many good articles on the web. That's how I learn as well. We'll just do our best not to cross the line!! :-)

Karen,
Just tell them what you sell, and if they are interested have them PM you.

If people are looking for a particular product that will help them and it's on a site that I own, how does that work? I'm not soliciting them to be a business builder, I'm just responding to their question. Example, some people want organics and I use them. I don't sell them to people, I give them my site to purchase from IF THEY so choose. I don't know how else to provide advice? Help????

Evelyn,

Circle of Moms is allowing one community in which members can post links regarding their business- Work At Hone Business Opportunities. As it is, the entire site has grown exponentially, however, the Admins & Mods in quite a few communities have been a bit lax regarding the guidelines.

There is a major clean up underway to bring all communities back within the scope of the guidelines. This is mostly due to member complaints about the excessive amount of advertising they have to sift through in the CoM forums.

I'm sure that you will see many of the solicitations decline as new admins & mods are appointed to these communities to take over for the ones that have been inactive.

Thanks for asking!

Jenn, why is there a group for work at home moms with other moms being allowed to post information about their companies and even moderators here are allowed to talk about their businesses. Some of these moderators have been on other sites and their only intent here is to get more members so their checks can be bigger. Sorry for the true info but if there is any fairness here then we could all talk about our work at home businesses without putting our links and they would not be deleted but sorry to say that has not held true.
