I am trying to find a work at home type of job. I currently work in the home health field, I am a CNA and I clean for clients as well. I was previously in the customer service industry working for an inbound calling center providing technical assistance and general customer service. I am only working 17 hrs a week, I enjoy my job but my back doesn't like it much! My husband has a little over an hour drive to work and since we only have 1 car at the moment, it's hard to take on more hours for work and it's terrible wear and tear on our only car. So hopefully I can take some of the strain off my poor dh by finding something I can do at home.

Hi there, I know exactly how you are feeling... I have been working from home since 2004, there are so many more opportunities now than ever.

There are many great websites for work from homes moms, like www.WAHM.com that gives help to moms looking to start working from home, what to look for, what to expect. YOU have skills yourself, that you could market in your own area and do on your own as well. Find your niche, figure out what you want to do and then go from there...

I would advise you to get an account on LINKEDIN.com, it is a business networking site, lots of people that have work from home experience, have networking and business concepts, and they help and support one another as well. There are many legitimate job banks out there, www.homejobstop.com and legitjobs.net are two good ones, they do require a small fee, but are worth the price to gain access. HOMEJOBSTOP's fee is a small amount for a lifetime membership... it is an awesome database. There are places that offer Virtual Assisting, teamdoubleclick.com, virtualofficetemps.com are two sites like that...

I got my last customer service job in a virtual call center through Craigslist. I applied with a company called American Customer Support, they are hiring. They provide support for cable companies and DISH. Other virtual call centers are companies like Working Solutions, www.workingsol.com, Live Ops, www.liveops.com, and West Work from Home, www.west.com are just to name a few.

Another idea is to freelance, www.elance.com, or www.freelance.com, they are both sites where you pay a small fee to register, you log on, give them your skills and what you can do, then you bid for jobs for clients, like a contractor would do for a builder. Check places like Careerbuilder.com, monster.com, and other known job banks as well, many legitimate jobs are on those sites now, working from home has become so common.

Do your DUE DILLIGENCE, research the sites, know the company, clients, and do not ever send money for "training or training materials" REAL job offers and companies should pay for all training, materials, software(above and beyond normal software), and even your background checks, credit checks, you should not have to pay for those as well. REAL employers will pay for those checks and can get them for better prices through "group" rates, so they usually do it for themselves through their own reliable sources. Talk with others, research products and types of work that it is... Know for sure, if it promises get rich, work now, no experience, no skills, no real need to know how to run a business, are usually scams..; when working from home... it takes REAL WORK... IT IS HARD to work from home, it is just like working out of the home, time, effort, and you need to keep plugging away.

Keep people in your corner that know about working from home, they are a great support, they can give you ideas, feedback, and help you find the scams and other things that are reliable.

I hope that this article helps you... I posted many links, NONE OF THEM, do I get anything from, they are just where I started too. I can send you other ideas and other links as well. I am happy to help.

Best of luck in your search there are some amazing home business opportunities out there and it is well worth the time to find one that you believe in and are excited about working on. Remember with an online job that you are still trading time for money instead of creating residual income that a home business can provide. I absolutely love having my own business, I am sending you a private message with some more information.

Hey Shanna, There are many things you can do at home...unfortunately there are so many it can be hard to choose!

What you need to do is figure out if you are looking for a work at home job or a work at home business. A home job will help you to "just get by" by providing you with a couple hundred extra dollars a month, that is if you get a good customer service job. These jobs are highly competitive though so you might have to spend some time applying for these.

If you are looking to truly turn your situation around financially (if that is an ultimate goal of yours) then a work at home business is what you are looking for. You can start one today (of course you'd want to do your research). You'll want to find something you are passionate about and enroll with someone who can teach you how to market effectively.

I have 3 videos on my blog that can walk you through your work at home search to see if you are looking for a job or a business, and take you from A-Z to minimize getting scammed or wasting time/money.

Visit http://www.RozPearcy.com and you'll see the videos on the main page there :) Let us know if you have any questions!
