I am a stay at home mother of a 2 1/2 year old Daughter and will be adding another in the next couple of weeks. My husband works full time, but becuase of the economy we are struggling financially. I have been trying to find something easy to do at home to add to our income, but I am not having much luck. I am not interested in selling anything as I am not really good at that. Before I had my daughter I was a loan officer and a tax examiner for the State of Maine. I do have a college degree in Finance. I love staying home with my daughter and with a new baby coming very soon I do not want to work outside of the home. Thanks

I've started an online Boutique called Womens Fashion Boutique. I'm enjoying customizing my Boutique, filling it with products, and writing reviews. The cool thing is, I'm actually earning money in the process! In fact, I make up to 25% on every sale.

The transactions are all online so all I have to do is pick the pieces I think my friends will love. My website does the marketing and shipping for me. It's totally flexible, so it fits into my busy schedule.

I think this would be a great opportunity for you, too. It's completely free to sign up. Check it out at http://womensfashionboutique.kitsylane.c...

If you're interested or have questions, let's chat more about it so I can fill you in on the details.

Talk soon,

Tina

If you are into fitness and health you can become a coach for Team Beachbody.

Minimum startup cost is 39.95 then there is a recurring 15.95 fee to keep your personal Team Beachbody Coach website up. You get a 25% discount on all purchases you make and you get a 25 commission on purchases people make through you.

Another business with low start up is the promotion of websites through Global Domains International. You have 7 days to try it free then it is just 10 bux a month for your very own personal website that comes with 10 email accounts and tons of features included in price. If you promote the company you get 10% percent commission of each website domain you sell.

Well, I can not add much to Roz P.'s comment. Most people don't REALLY like to sell as they also
don't like to be sold. However, by learning a few skills in the industry, finding something you are passionate about and the products or service sells itself. And there is a ton of FREE training on these skills . You do not have to pay for any of it to be successful.
I would be happy to point you in the right direction.

I am more into the sales end of home business, but chose companies that have products that sell themself. I chose reputable, long standing companies that required minalmal investment, offer me websites, and do not require inventory. I just share my brochures/catalogs with family and friends, leave them at local restaraunts and stores, and occassionly do a vendor or health and wellness fair to get my name out. I am growing slowly, but steadily. I have online customers that i have never met. Feel free to message me. I am happy to answer any questions.

Hi Jessica,

Congratulations on your new baby coming. You'll have your hands full! I have four children, and I am very busy. I work full time because I am a widow, but I also have three businesses I work on the side to help bring in extra income.

If you need anymore help, I'll be glad to answer any questions.

Jessica,

Congratulations on your upcoming new baby girl! I have 2 daughters as well...about that same age difference apart...they will have lots of fun when the little one gets big enough to play :) I have worked from home for 7 years now, and just recently went part time with my "job" and started focusing on my new business. I would love to discuss what I do with you via private message if you would like.

Talk soon,

Jessica, many people are struggling in this economy, especially home-based businesses and self-employed. I found a different way to work from home and more moms have chosen this company because there is no inventory and no selling. Congrats on choosing to be a stay at home mom, that is the best job in the world and you will never be able to replace the time you spend with your little ones!

Hey there! If you haven't already please read the pinned posts at the top of the group to get info on the difference between a home job and a business, should you have to pay to work from home, and how to get your perfect work at home business (the steps to take). This will help you get on the right track towards what you are looking for.

About the "selling"...there is more to working at home than just selling. There are of course jobs that you don't sell anything like you are a customer service rep or other jobs like that. However they usually require no background noise so you might have to get a sitter for the kids which kind of works against trying to be at home with your kids lol.

For work at home businesses, they ALL have selling even if they say they don't. With a home business what else would you be doing? If you are not selling products, you are selling memberships or selling services like I do. But this doesn't mean that you can't do a KILLER job at it.

You don't have to be good at selling in order to do well with a home business. Most home business companies have great teams who will teach you what works. You can learn how to do it, and it could mean the difference between making an income that gets you by or an income that makes a HUGE difference in your life.

If you are willing to learn the industry to do what it takes to succeed with a home business to get the income you desire then the key to making it work is to find something you love doing. If you love whatever product, membership, or service that you are offering, then you won't feel like selling :). You will love how you are helping other families and you will feel good about it. You will be so excited to start that you can't barely sleep. You will wake up each morning wanting to get on the computer and get working!

This is the way I feel, and so many other moms here on CoM because we found our passion! So there is something out there for you and we are happy to help. If you need more specific information just reply to this post.

For work at home business ideas check out the pinned post at the top "Market Yourself Monday". It's Monday today so you'll need to check back during the week for most posts as I refresh it every Monday.

If you want to look at work at home jobs you can visit http://www.wahm.com/forum and you'll see many different folders. You can look at the different folders and get info...there are jobs and businesses mixed in there but you should be able to tell the difference. If anything catches your eye you can post your questions and the people over there are very helpful. You'll see me around in the AmeriPlan folder :). HTH!
