I have to say that I absolutely love and would recommend thirty-one gifts as a company to work for. When I joined in 2011, I saw a catalog and wanted a few bags, I also needed to earn so extra money, I wanted to start selling something but didnt want to invest in any company that required stock or a big start up payment. This business is more on the phone, calling those interested in mainly weight loss. But by letting them know about the other options they usually refer people to you. Most home based businesses are going to take you time and money to advertise and get YOUR name out there as the Representative to use.

Avon is a great seller but there are a lot of lines and the products change each month with each campaign book. Some products sell out fast and customers can get upset about this! Nothing you can do Limited means Limited! If you can keep all the lines straight, collect first, you should do well. Nice thing is no up front money for inventory. I'm not sure what the sign up fee is these days. But most people won't call you to place an order you have to do a lot of leg work to get them to place that order and have the money up front! OTHER WISE, AT DELIVERY YOU COULD BE STUCK WITH THE ITEM AND LOSING MONEY! I did Avon years ago and learned that the hard way! Get a Pro Pay account and you can call in a credit card right then! Good Luck.

I personally like the Mary Kay Cosmetics line, I use it myself. Now there is a $100. plus tax and shipping fee. But you get a kit of over $440 dollars of products You have 30 days to invest into inventory. I personally worked for Avon previously, and I like their products, but from a business stand point, it was not that profitable, and I had to receive the returned items. Stay at home Mothers are insanely busy and needs a job that can work with their main job. Being a mother.
I own a business that I started from scratch and I also recently joined an amazing Networking Skin Care business. I joined this company because I already use their products and already refer them to family and friends, it was a good fit, so I decided to become a consultant. I truly believe that if you want to do a network marketing business then you should have a clear goal for yourself. Don't get in the hype. Do your research like you would if you were an entrepreneur.
So below are some of the things you need to consider:
1) how much money can I invest in my own business
2) how much marketing funds should I keep aside
3) how much time do I really have to spend on this business every day? (10 hours/day) or when (the baby is asleep)
4) is the business child friendly? - after all you have children as well
5) will you get support from your upline, will she be there for you even for the smallest question
6) how reputable is the company - do an actual market research, don't go on line and look at post from people who may not have been successful, so they are bitter, remember that only about 10% of the people that go into online marketing becomes successful. So, you get what you reap, this is the same for any type of business.
7) are you goal oriented?, Results oriented and approachable?
8) What is your financial goal what are you working towards - write that down and clearly define it
9) Remember that network marketing means exactly that, the more associates you have the better for you and if you are internet savvy, even better
10) You have realistic expectations.

If you do NOT have a product and are just recruiting people to sell more recruiting and not a product that is a Pyramid Scheme.



There are legitimate companies out there to have at home businesses.

Avon, Mary Kay, Arbonne, Pampered Chef, Xpress Healthcare, US Born Books.

Just to name a few.



If you are looking to start your own business with your own products or services I recommend Fabienne Fredrickson and the Client Attraction Workshop. She is a Mentor and it cost money to invest in her programs and products but they are worth it. You also get a lot for FREE from her. I have worked for AmeriPlan and they are not a good company. Their integrity is zero. You can see why at Rip Off Report, or AmeriPlan Fires 900. Both articles can be Googled.



I now work for Xpress Healthcare and they are a good company.

I have worked Mary Kay Cosmetics they are good. You just need to have a circle of friends who will spend to get you started or spend yourself for products to have that you can sell.

And build outwards that way. Some have great success others it takes longer. Different variables for each.

Avon is good but a lot of products change all the time and I did not like that.

Plus, if you don't collect ahead for orders you can get stuck paying for it or ruining your credit with the company. I got stuck with over a hundred dollar order and could NOT afford to pay it at the time. Lesson Learned! CASH UPFRONT. Checks can bounce....if you take checks wait a week before you order to be sure they clear!



Herbalife is another one that is good but not a lot of people have heard of them even though they have been around for years.



Always investigate.
