Just want to see what everyone does?



My sister and I have our own company that helps moms start their own home based business using their skills and hobbies. I offer online business courses, marketing and promotion idea subscriptions and lots more in the works.



Are you successful at it?



Yes...very successful because I LOVE what I do. I watched my super talented friends make cake sculptures that belonged on a magazine and painted illustrations that rival children's books and then have them ask how to make money from home. It became my hobby to help my friends and family start their own business and has just grown.



How did you get started?



My mom was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer and I became her primary caregiver. I couldn't work a traditional job because of all of the appointments, surgeries and treatments. My sister and I started Green Apple Ideas during this period.



What is your start up fee?



Not really applicable to my business, but online courses are $100 and we have had alot of people tell us that they should be priced over $1000. We want to make them affordable though. My passion is helping other moms have freedom to take care of their own families from home.



How do you train other people or how do you get trained?

I very recently started with a party plan company called Origami Owl. This unique jewelry company specializes in helping you to create your story in a locket. It is so cute and great for every occassion, birth of a child, wedding, in memory of a loved one, just because, graduation, to show school pride etc.
So far I am really happy with my results. This was started by a 14 year old looking to make some extra money. It started with their party plan division in November 2011 so I feel I am on the ground floor of one of the hottest jewelry trends in the market. Hi! I am a Young Living Dist. Young Living makes and distributes therapeutic grade essential oils. I was introduced to the oils after debilitating health issues. I am an Energy Consultant with Ambit Energy (it was on the list of WAH jobs that Katherine posted). I have found great success. It has actually changed my life! I also do marketing writing and copywriting for a variety of clients, from PR agencies and magazines to websites of small businesses and parenting sites.

I sell Gold Canyon Candles. I have been doing this for 5yrs now, and I absolutely love it. We have so many different types of fragrances and products. There are 2 kits that you can purchase, but you can earn them for free one is $99 and the other $150 broken down into payments to make it more affordable should you not earn them for free. I used to like another candle company "Y" but I tried a car freshener from this company and then a candle, and I fell in love with the product and the price. My husband recommended me signing so I could at least get my candles at a discount and it has turned into my only income My motto is "I started this to support my candle habit and now it supports me".
