Hi Rachel!
If you are serious about working from home let me know. I first ask that you have a idea of what you will and will not do. I also want to share with you the difference between a work at home JOB and a work from home business. Now most people want to work from home(it's ideal) However finding a company is perrty intresting and when you have found a company, It's true you get to pick your work schedule which is usally a three to four hour block.(now if you can keep your kids quite for that long give some of us other moms some pointer LoL) These companies don't want the peple calling in to know that you are in fact working from home. No to metion ONLY getting paid $7-$8 an hour.

Now let me share with you a home based business and what it consists of. A home business gives YOU the FREEDOM to set your own schedule. People know that we are working from home as they are trying to do the same(ofcourse) So your not sticking your kids in daycare or in a room some where to try to keep them quite(AS if that would ever happen). You also don't need any special degrees etc, It's not corporate America there's no one standing over your shoulder and telling you your ONLY worth this amont an hour. Anyone from any alk of life can be successful as long as they are deligete and consitent. If you can see yourself being commited to 2- 4yrs while building financial freedom for your family, And not wanting to have some one else around for your kids firsts(walk, crawl, teeth, crissis etc..) And educating others that they don't have to work for someone else for 40 hours a week for 40yrs Of their life without the garuntee of being able to retire. THERE IS A BETTER WAY.

Let me know if your intrested!

Hi Rachel, I have been working part time from home since 2002 representing a consumer goods manufacturer that focuses on wellness and prevention. I have built a great customer network of happy customers shopping for everyday products that they use and reuse and are very effective. Its always good to see what our options are . I would love to share with you how you can generate residual income that is more beneficial for you and your family along with using better safer products for our home and families.

I'd be remiss if I didn't tell you all about my career as an Independent Beauty Consultant for Mary Kay. I am now a work-at-home Mom and my own boss, working at growing my own business. Mary Kay provides training, product knowledge & an awesome support base so I have help when I need it most!

Have you tried Mary Kay products? And, do you have a beauty consultant???? If not, then let's get together--soon!

You may like hearing these facts also--in the great depression, tobacco, alcohol, and cosmetics survived.

Today Mary Kay is doing quite well--recruiting is at an all time high. Women are tired of working 60-80 hours. So they are starting their own home based businesses, setting their own hours, and working around family. As far as sales go, women will not give up their cosmetics because cosmetics make them feel good. And, when they look good, they feel great!

RIGHT NOW there are 1.8 MILLION women working for themselves, successfully selling Mary Kay.
In this time of recession our lipstick sales are up 40%. That's right, UP 40%! And Mary Kay is a secure company they have ZERO DEBT.

I was a little skeptical at first. I would never sell a product that i wouldn't use myself. I'm amazed at how well the products [skin care & make up] I'm trying are working. I want to share this amazing opportunity with as many professional women as I can. So that together we can change lives, one face at a time.

For more information please check out my website: http:/www.marykay.com/KateRoss or e-mail KateRoss@MaryKay.com. Phone calls are always welcome at 734.353.9225. I would love to hear from you.

I just enrolled with the company Melaleuca. Have you heard of them? Its a great company with a great business plan. There is a presentation you can attend for free and it lets you know everything there is to know. If you decide to enroll there is a start up fee but it is very affordable. I know cause I was unemployed when I started and was very hesitate about everything. I have been scammed, more than once, and passed over this opportunity several times. Funny thing is that it is one of two legitimate offers I have been able to find. Just give me a message through circle of moms if your interested and I'll get you started. I hope you find what your looking for!

Happy hunting,

I recommend training for these types of companies and for working at home. That way you can find out what companies to work with and what ones to stay away from. I have been in the industry for over two years now and have tried many companies. The best is to train so you don't waste your money!

I have some great opportunities if you would like to hear about them and also a free newsletter for more information.

Quoting Rachel:

Work at Home job.

Hi,

I am looking for a work at home job that is legitimate and has no start up cost. I have a 9 month old daughter that I've been home with for 9 months and need to find a job immediately. I'm a single mom with very little resources.

Thanks,

Rachel

Greetings Rachel!  I know where you are coming from-- I was in that spot in that not so distant past!  I just wanted to stop by and share some information or advice for you.  Working from home is an absolute blessing.  You just have to decided whether or not you want a work at home job or a work at home career (home-business). I have been in the work from home field since 2003 and love it. I've worked for many companies from home (as an employee) and did enjoy doing it at the time.   However, I prefer owning my own business over a work at home job cause you still have to have some schedule and report to someone in a home-based job.  With my own business I have more FREEDOM and write my OWN schedule and if I need to leave really quick to go pick my daughter up from school, I just do it. I don't have to worry about my shift not being covered. In addition, I OWN it and I don't have to worry about being laid off or "fired."   What I like even more is that I control how little and how much I make!  As of September 2008, my home business with Ameriplan has allowed me to work full-time/part-time from home based on my family's schedule!

You must also note the important differences between a home based job versus a work at home based career/ business.  A home based job is a bit more difficult to find.  Most of the ones that are commonly available are centered around telemarketing, appointment setting or customer service/ order taking.  The ones that are legit have hundreds to thousands of people on their waiting lists and/or have tedious hiring procedures.  You should NEVER PAY for a home based job.  They will pay you either hourly or a base salary.  Some pay by minute of talk-time and/or commissions.  So be very careful when applying for work at home jobs where they are hiring you as an EMPLOYEE versus an INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR.  A home based business is much different from a work at home job.  Some form of an investment whether minimal or large is normally required.  However, unlike the work at home job, the investment and expenses are fully tax deductible.  You will not be an EMPLOYEE (W-2) but classified as an INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR (1099) which identifies you as a SMALL BUSINESS OWNER with the IRS.  Owning your own business is VERY REWARDING.  You have FLEXIBILITY, FREEDOM, and the opportunity to EARN a SIGNIFICANT INCOME (because you are in control of what you make or don't make!).  The key things you should look for when searching for a home business is a legitimate, reputable company, minimal investment, residual income (being paid monthly on one each "sale" you bring- similar to royalties that singers get when producing CDs), benefits, opportunity for advancement, valued product or services, unlimited support and training.

While you are conducting your search, you have to be careful about scams.  In 2003, when I began my search for work from home I got scammed out of over $500. You name it, I've probably done it.  That experience is what prompted me to pursue the degrees that I have which is in Paralegal Studies and Criminal Justice-(CSI and Cybercrime emphasis).  I have done volunteer work for 4 or more years as an Internal Investigations Manager for a work at home forum that has now transformed into a telecommute agency.  I eventually plan to work for the government in their Cybercrime Units.  Pretty much I can spot a scam not even a mile a way!

Feel free to contact me for more information or for advice on things you may come across.  You name it, I've probably done it!  I've done over 30+ things from home so far.  But I do recommend that you do your research on all businesses/ companies that you come in contact with.  Don't always rely on consumer reports as your sole decision maker.  Use that information to ask that company questions about the reports you may have found if if they answer your question entirely to your satisfaction, you make the decision to proceed with them or not.  There are ALOT of disgruntled people out there calling companies scams when they are not.  I have been dealing with a lot of cases where companies are cracking down on these people and suing them.  So becareful who you are quick to call a scam and especially if you are posting it in a public domain.

If home-based jobs is what you're def looking for--- I have information available on LEGIT hiring companies that I've researched (ran background checks on) in my group: http://www.b2bhgifts.ecrater.com

Hi Rachel,

I take my hat off to single moms right from the start. I know I would have a very hard time dealing with my boys by myself. And as my sister raised her daughter alone, I've seen first hand just how demanding it is. Unfortunately she still battles even though her daugher is 15 years old, and I cant help her as what I can show her is computer based work from home, and she is not computer literate. She lives on the other side of the world to me, so that makes it quite tricky to try & teach her to use computers.

But, back to you and what you need from me, or rather what I can do for you.

I truly believe that I have the perfect work at home business opportunity for each & every mom out there looking for something to do in some spare time from home.
Rachel, I am sure out of one of the opportunities I have reviewed, you would find one that suits you. I’ve tried and tested tens to hundreds of different home based business opportunities. Believe me when I say that. I started out many years ago and have now definitely found a few that work. Of course I cant work with all of them at once, so I’ve selected my favourite two and am working closely with them.

I have reviewed the top 10 or so companies that are offering legit work at home opportunities or businesses that are scam free, and have put together a web page with links to each of them so you can have a browse at them and choose one for yourself.

At least you can be sure they are genuine opportunities.

I know there are so many options out there for working from home. However, most of those options involve working for a company...not working for yourself. And as we all know, many of those are schemes, they are not legitimate businesses. If you are looking for something that is purely YOUR business where you can work at your own pace, your own hours, etc, then you should really consider one of my reviewed businesses. It’s all about you! You are an agent for companies. Placing adverts for them and typing for them etc. No, you don't need to be a computer whiz or know everything about technical design to become one. There are many, many options and free websites available to you. I promise you, you won’t be disappointed.

I have never liked the ones where you have to sell stuff, or do conference calls, or in an indirect manner try to sell something or push something onto another person. That is JUST NOT ME!!! I’ve tried many forms of Network Marketing (health products/investment products to name a few) and just couldn’t find the dedication to go through with the conference calls, classes, conferences, trainings, seminars, loads of driving, buying of this and that (dvd/leaflet/mail marketing material) etc etc, etc. I’m sure you have probably tried some or other sort that this is ringing some big bells for you.

I’ve lost thousands of Pounds already on these types of business. OK, so they do work for some, but not me and maybe they didn’t work for you either.

What I have found and have now reviewed for you are ones that you need to be able to type, have a computer or access to one, read (and learn from what you are reading) and some spare time. Naturally if you have more time at the start to help you set yourself up that would be good. But not essential, as we will all get there, just at different paces.

Ok, so if you have any questions, don’t ask me – lol. No, really, feel free to ask about any of my experiences while trying these companies out, but as I am not an agent of any of these businesses I am not involved in the mechanics of any one of them. I have just tried them and put together the report/site. But I could probably recommend one or the other.

Here’s the two link you’ll need:

http://www.scamfreeonline2.com/5372.html

Good luck and I hope you find something out there that works for you (as you seem to have more than enough replies here to spend a good amount of time looking!)

Hi Rachel - how awesome that you've been able to be at home. I love to help moms do just that! I work with other moms and we are teamed up with a very well established (24 yrs.) company that has received many awards, including the Torch Award from the Better Business Bureau for outstanding business ethics. I know that you want to be careful and wise - if we could talk I would love to share more about what I do and point you to some awesome testimonies from other single moms who've become very successful. There's no risk! And if a long distance call is out of the question for you, you can email my personal email with your phone number, and I will call you!

It's my goal to help you be home and be successful, so I am excited to talk to you soon!

Blessings,

Tresta
