I do quite a few work from home opportunities but you said you aren't really interested in that type of work so I'll focus on what you're asking for, not what I can give you. ;-)



My friend though is with Primerica Financial and in my mind that is a "job job" because she went through the classes to get her insurance license and then became a certified financial planner. She does work from home and I think she said the license was less than a couple hundred dollars. Were I not so busy with what we're currently doing I would love to do what she does- she evaluates expenses, shows people how to use credit wisely, how to shorten their payments and save money, how to invest, etc. What really attracted me to the company was they do financial planning for the average person who's not holding on to millions in assets. I think her type of work would be really rewarding because she's helping struggling people, ensuring they are set for retirement, have their wills in place, etc. She was an "average housewife" who now makes over 100,000 a year with her company.



I don't have a pony in this race, meaning I'm not affiliated with the company nor would I get a referrral for sending you her way. I just like that she saved our family money and think it's a great program, and she is someone that I trust.

Have you considered a home business? There are great tax breaks, you can make your own schedule and in my case I am able to claim in my taxes a lot of my monthly shopping (think laundry detergent, cleaners, make-up, toothpaste, etc). For me its a win win situation. First....let me tell you what it is.....its the BEST EVER shopping app. (FREE AND DOWNLOADABLE FOR EVERYONE)

Next....let me tell you what it DOES.....basically...it works like a "google" for shopping and coupons. You type in your item to YOUR existing search bar....and instead of going to all the different sites to look for the best prices and coupons(printable AND online codes)....your computer will bring them back to YOU! This thing saves me personally.....a TON of time because I have 3 daughters and needless to say....I shop ALOT! lol

Hi Christina. I wanted to invite you to my group: "Please Help Me Find Work At Home!!!!!"

It goes over how to tell the difference between a real opportunity and a scam and the difference between a home job and business, and if it should cost to work at home.

Since you mentioned the last part I'll answer here in case anyone else wants to know. You are absolutely right that a job should not cost anything...here is why. When you are hired, the employer absorbs the costs of hiring you. It costs them money to hire you! Some companies will provide you with a uniform, you'll sometimes need a key to get into the office, they will need to pay for an HR person to get all your info into the computer and get your health benefits/direct deposit and any other paperwork completed, they will need to pay for you to be interviewed (paying for the person to interview you) etc. This is why many companies will have you come back for a 2nd and 3rd interview because they want to be sure that this money is not wasted with someone that will just work a few days then quit and they have to start the whole process over again.

So, when you start a home business, you now in effect become the employer, the boss. You absorb the costs of starting this business because you need marketing materials, you have a monthly overhead to keep websites running, you have to pay rent or a mortgage, utilities, etc. Thankfully though you can deduct all home business expenses on your tax return so you get most of it back :)

But when you start a job, you do pay to work...this is how: you pay for the gas to get you to work, you pay for child care, you might pay for a uniform, shoes or whatever, you pay with the time it takes you to get there, you might pay for dry cleaning if you are a professional of some sort, etc. So either way you do pay to work...

Anyway, most of us on here have home businesses and want to share them with everyone because you can finally get out of the rat race and make a decent living being your own boss, making your own dreams come true in working from home.

As far as your 16 month old not being quiet...this is a major reason why a lot of work at home jobs won't work...they usually require no background noise since most are customer service positions. There are a few like www.chacha.com and www.kgb.com but they do not pay well at all...but it is something! So there will be a sacrifice somewhere so it's good to look at your goals for the future to see if a home job or busienss will help you to reach them.

With a home business, your son can make all kinds of noise in the background as most of the people you will talk to will have families of their own and will totally understand. For the most part I make my calls when my daughters are sleeping, but it does happen when they wake up and I'm on the phone lol. They understand! A lot of businesses you can run mostly online, I have many people join me and I never speak with them on the phone. So it can work, but you might need to step out of your comfort zone...but to accomplish thing that are beyond your wildest dreams is totally worth it :).

It might be good if you look into how network marketing works, they are not all scams :).

You can either be your own boss, or have a boss each one works, it depends on how motivated you are to be home and how much time and effort you want to put in.

I would love to talk with you and help you understand the difference in scam and legitmate network marketing home based business's. Many, many people make very good living's with being their own boss, but it takes focus, passion for the product, and sharing the product with those you know and then helping those you know share the product with whom they know etc....

Not all are scams and you should definetly do your homework on each one.
