I work from home, as a biology professor and an IBO through a company called Ameriplan. I work part-time at the local community college teaching biology, but I only work about 20 hours per week on average. This wasn't giving me enough income so I was frantically searching for another online opportunity so I could still be a stay at home mom. I finally found Ameriplan, and now I have a supplement to my and my husband's incomes and I am able to be a stay at home mom (THANK GOODNESS). I think family is the most important factor in life, and I have just been so worried about having to keep our kids in daycare MOST OF THE DAY while my husband and I are at work.

Of course, since this has been my lifesaver, I am always interested in showing it to other moms! We are hiring right now, and I am a recruiter/ interviewer for them so if anyone is interested, let me know!

If you accept the job, I will be your trainer but we all work on a team with this company. Even though it is a work from home opportunity, everyone in the company is always there for you!

Amanda, no one has ever asked me about whether or not they fund abortion. That's a great question. It is important to understand that Ameriplan isn't a health insurance company, though. They are a health discount company. Their plans essentially cover what insurance does not. If a family does not have insurance, it also helps them because they at least have one method of assistance for paying medical bills.

With this company, once your application is accepted, you are an independent business owner. Although you are an independent business owner, you are not alone. We all work as a team, and there are ways to move up in the company. Essentially, you currently have two positions to choose from. You could be:

Plan Specialist- Calling or e-mailing prospective members who have requested information about the company. Informing them about our plans. This is NOT a sales job, there should be no pressure put upon the prospective member to purchase a plan. If they want to purchase a plan, great. If not, you just move on to the next person.

Recruiter- We also need recruiters. I am a recruiter. Essentially, recruiters are responsible for posting help wanted ads, informing interested people about the opportunity of being an independent business owner, interviewing them to be sure they are a good fit for the company, training the new hires and essentially serving as their mentor.

What I really like about this company is the flexibility. I enjoy that I can work my own hours. I work about 20 hours per week, and the income for 20 hours per week is about $300. I work mornings and then I have the entire rest of the day to spend with my family. It is also nice to be my own boss, because if I need to take time off for a particular reason, whether it be a sick baby, a vacation, etc. I can. And if I go on vacation, I can still work in the mornings if I have to because it is 100% work from home.

what would I do, and I would never work for someone that funds abortions. Do they fund abortions or do them?

I have a few key points that I would like to add... some moms have had a few questions about the credibility of the company, please review the information below:

Ameriplan is recommended by and has an "A" rating with the Better Business Bureau.

Ameriplan has the highest standing possible with the United States Chamber of Commerce in Dallas, Texas. You may call them to confirm. (972) 818-4130

The American Pregnancy Association recommends Ameriplan to pregnant women needing health care. Ameriplan is the ONLY non state funded discount health care program that the American Pregnancy Association recommends.

Morley Safer from 60 Minutes did a huge special on Ameriplan. He was asked to host a special episode of the American Medical Review where Ameriplan was the featured story.

Yahoo Finance states that owning a franchise is one of the top 10 legitimate ways to work from home. Most however, are unaffordable, which is the downside. When you work from home with Ameriplan, you own your own franchise of Ameriplan, you OWN the business and it's even willable and sellable. Fortunately for us, Ameriplan has NO franchise fees.
