If you look at it as a business, not a job, it will make a huge difference. My husband and I have several difference stay at home businesses that we work. Hi Brittney! It's been awhile since you posted so hopefully you've found what you were looking for. I just wanted to say I know where you're coming from. I started my search 11 years ago when our now-11 year old came to us at 1 month old. He has always been my motivation for staying focused on my business. He has FASD and will never be completely independent. My best advice is to do your homework and once you choose a business, be determined to stay the course. Consistency and persistency will pay off!

However, sometimes you realize a certain job or business is just not right for you. Don't keep doing something you hate just to make money! Just use what you learned to make a better choice for you next time. Not sure if that all makes sense, just saying it's worth the hard work, the learning curve, the getting outside your comfort zone to be able to be available for your little Bently!

You can sell Scentsy Wickless Candles exclusively online! You don't have to sell through home parties. It's one reason why I love working for this company! They provide you with a professional website with your start kit. All you have to do is drive traffic to it by way of facebook, twitter, blogging... stuff you can do while the little one is sleeping.

I scoured the internet trying to find an at home job. I opened an etsy shop selling vintage clothing. That was slow going. I had sales, but it took a lot more time and effort than I could afford. I needed more income and to devote less time. My old best friend from high school introduced me to Scentsy. It's a home party business similar to Avon, Tupperware, Mary Kay, Pampered Chef, etc. I checked out all of these companies and more before deciding to sell Scentsy. None of the other companies had products that I thought would be fun to sell. I think it's important to have fun! Then, after researching each company thoroughly (and I mean tons of business articles, financial reports, ecological practices, law suits, the company's owners & administrators, etc,) and their compensation plans, I could see a clear winner... Scentsy!

So, that's what I love to do now. I sell safe candles by Scentsy. They are ceramic lamps that use a 15 or 25 watt light bulb to melt highly scented wax. It is safe for pets and children. The wax never gets much warmer than body temperature so there are no chances of being scalded by wax. My name is Shelley...and I truly understand about wanting to be home w/your children. I have 2 girls...and love the fact that I'm able to make dinner for them every night...go to school plays, volunteer at their school and more.

I have an online business that is quite prosperous. And the Residual isn't so bad either. With Bently having FAS...if you can't work as much one week...your money will not suffer...because it's residual.
