I just wanted to post about how positive my experience is pumping at work and breastfeeding my little one.
I went back to work full time after haveing 7 weeks off Maternity Leave and I was worried about what my co-workers/bosses would think about me haveing to pump at work. Well I shouldn't have been worried. I have a pump that I let at work and the nurses let me lock it up in their office. I also get to use the beauty parlor at work to pump (I work at an assisted liveing facility) so I dont have to pump in the bathrooms (which are huge and very well cleaned anyway).
I love how positive my co-workers are and they are not grossed out or anything but are possitive and currious. I even have 2 more pregnant people at work who are seriously considering breastfeeding and pumping at work because they see how easily I do it.
I love the fact that I know my son is being taken care of at home and I still get to feed him with my milk. :)
I know not a lot of people have such a rewarding experience pumping at work so I hope this sheds a positive light on pumping at work!
