I'm 27 weeks pregnant and was just hired for a new job at a Fortune 500 Company to start in the end of May. There will be a 6 Weeks Training Class and which will only leave me at about 5 weeks on the job before having my baby. My due date is at Day 55 of the 90 Day Probationary period so I am not yet eligible for Short Term Disability, etc. FMLA will not work either because I have been employed for less than 1 year.
I do not even mind if whichever leave I end up with is unpaid, I just don't want to come back to find out I will be out of a job as this is a great opportunity that came at an convenient time.
Has anyone ever been in a similar situation and what options did you end up with? Any recommendation of who to tell first, HR or Manager?
