Daughter will not go back to pre-school

My 4yr old daughter was attending pre-school but a teacher gave her a spanking and now she refuses to go back. I don't have a nanny yet, my husband and i have to juggle our schedules and with work it is very hard. What can i do to convince her that the teachers and schools are not the same so that she can go back to pre-school.

That is horrifying, OMG!!!!!!!!! well i suggest that you search for more schools and include your daughter, give her the opportunity to share in that search all while talking to her until you can not talk anymore, you expressing to her that school is important and all schools are not the same is very very important, when you find a place plan to spend time and get to know the environment and do not be afraid to tell the teacher of your previous situation and that it will not be tolerated because your child comes to school to learn not to be hit on, teachers know this and should adhere to it. I'm so sorry. How horrible! Unfortunately, it only takes one incident to condition your child to think that this will always occur. It will take a lot of time and patience to reverse her thinking - time will be needed spending days with her at her school, sitting with her, observing displining techniques and explaining 1,000 times that this teacher will not hit. I do hope you reported the spanking - how terrible.

first of all OMG! i hope that got reported. second see if there's a day when you can go in with her to just observe and let her talk to other kids there tell her she's getting to help pick a place get her involved and just keep talking to her. give her examples of things you went thro i'm sure u have stories (we all do :)!) i hope things get better for you and her
