My husband and our 3 year old daughter and I have lived with my mom for the last 4 years in the same house to help her out. She went on vacation and died suddenly while on vacation. It has been a month and i am noticing issues all over- she won't sleep through the night, she wants her pacifier back and she is all but reverted to diapers- i was on the verge of underwear that week. Is it ok to push forward with independence as if nothing happened. I am being leaniant and i am concerned all our hard work will be gone but i don't want to push too hard. She knows mimi is not coming home and we have visited the cemetery several times- she likes to pick the flowers but she is clinging to me more and i think it's normal. Wondered if anyone else had a similar issue?

Nothing simaler here, but if she was close to your mum especially, it will have rocked her world, and her attachments (ie you) will suddenly seem as if they are not definantly going to be there - Scary time :( give her (and yourself time) to grieve.
Sorry for your loss :( :(

Im sorry for your loss.Your child is undergoing some emotional phase due to the loss of her granny. This could lead to a backward trend to her growth for a while. Give her time to accept the loss and adjust slowly. I wish you all the best.
