I dont mind so much that my daughter is drinking her bath water..... its the after effects and her 10 lb diaper in the am.... any suggestions on how to get her to stop drinking it or how to resolve the so much peeing and overflowing diaper? she has a certian routine and i would hate to disturb it! she has bath time right after supper and it isnt soon enough cause she still wakes up soaked....(supper at 5 bath right after and into bed at 7)...please help!!

maybe take her out of the tub as soon as she starts drinking it. Wash her up first of course! Maybe she will realize if she drinks it she will have to get out. I wouldn't let her do it, there is a lot of bacteria in that water and soap can also cause diarrhea!

I just thought that my son was being very naughty, didn't think other kids did it too. was very upset the first time i saw it, he would put his head down and drink the bath water while bathing, i used to leave him to play with his bath toys and sit and watch him for a while, but since he started, i just bath him and remove him quickly. Hope he out grows it soon, im not crazy about it.

Are you using overnight diapers for her? They worked for the most part with my son, the huggies brand you could also try going up one size.

Thanks Kellie, we need to bath after supper because she puts her food in her hair!!UGGG ..we also at night time read a book then watch treehouse for 15 min then off to bed...maybe we will try moving supper and bath time up an hour and she can have a little snack before bed instead of a bath!!LOL

Do you give her any fluids to drink with her supper? May be give her less to drink at supper and more earlier in the day, and maybe shorten her bath time and see if she "goes" right before bed and put on a fresh diaper. You can also read to her before bed if you don't already and turn on soothing music to help calm and relax her then maybe start bathing her before dinner and see if that works. We don't let the kids have anything to drink 1 hour before bed time and when they were in diapers always changed them right before we put them down. It also made potty training at night easy, they both only had 1 accident at night the first week.
