When my children were very small they got Easter outfits and had baskets with colored eggs that Mommy made for them and a picture book about Easter that we could look at together.

I know this post is probably too late but My baby is 3 months and I took her to Easter church service this morning and threw her an Easter party and invited some of my friends kids. She enjoyed having so many children around fussing over her!!! And I enjoyed seeing the smile on her face. I also took her to take pictures with the Easter Bunny who she rubbed because it was soft... lol! She may never remember this holiday, but trust me I will!!! :)

Hi Cera :)
I was having the same thought and I am so glad you posted this question. I am definitely going to get Giovanni a little something for Easter.

I think you should do Easter! I have a 7 mo old daughter and a 3 year old son, so we are definitely doing Easter baskets for both of them, otherwise my son would think it odd. But even if it were just her, I still would have done one. I got her some hair bows, finger foods (puffs), and 2 spring themed books. I'll put the hair bows and the puffs in the Easter eggs. She also has a pretty Easter dress, and I plan on putting a bunny-ear headband on her and taking pictures.

hi im jewish and don't really know what goes into doing easter. but we are orthodox jews and practice all the holidays, and introduce my 7 month old to it at her level. ie at our seder, we showed her the seder plate. when we light candles friday night, she is mesmerized by the flame, and we say shabbat shalom to her too. i hope that she will grow up with good feelings about our traditions because she will associate warm feelings with them extending all the way back to her babyhood.

i personally am not doing a easter basket for my 7 month old daughter, i kinda would like to but its like pointless, she has everything she needs and cant have candy or nun of course. but next yr is a whole different thing with all the holidays, shes going to be spoiled lol

Cera...I completely think you should take advantage of your daughter's 1st Easter. Get her dressed up, take pics, go see the Easter bunny, get her a basket. My son is 7 months and his Easter basket will be filled with diapers, wipes, food, toys, clothes, etc. It will be a good memory to have with your daughter! Have fun!

You can still enjoy Easter with your infant. Get her dressed up and take her for pictures with the Easter Bunny. She'll enjoy being out and you will enjoy the festivites with her. Take lots of pictures!! You'll love the memories of her first Easter.
