I try to find as much time to be with my daughter, but working and then getting her from daycare etc....it wears me out when we get home I do not sit down for one minute until she goes to bed. How do moms that have more than one child do it?

I have a son who is almost 10 and a 7 year old daughter. I have always either worked or gone to school full time (some weeks MORE then full-time). We have always done the same as Andrea, made sure that at least ever other week (once a week if we can fit it) we have some REAL time! I also make sure to hug my children every morning and night, kiss them and at their eye level tell them I love them. Of course every single day that we are able, we have dinner as a family (even if that has to be at 7pm). - Think of starting a ritual...those are the memories that we grow up with (not big trips to Disneyland and other major events). Our big ritual is that I have every second Friday off and I take the kids to lunch. It is only an hour but my daughter says that it is her favorite day.

Thanks Andrea. I think that is a wonderful idea. I just love her so much that I want to be there for her all the time and since her grandpa ie, my dad passed away Jan. 31st 07 it has been very hard to find time as my mother who is also diagnosed with a terminal illness is living with my sister Patty, myself, and Kelsey Jo and her Daddy when he isn't on the road truck driving cross country. It is hard sometimes to make time for just us because my mother requires a lot of attention too and she loves Kelsey so much and I want her to be with her as much as she can since she won't be around too much longer. :)

I have two daughters 7 and 3 years old and I work full time. Two Saturdays a month my husband and I each take a daughter and she gets to pick whatever she wants to do and the next time we switch girls. The girls look forward to their day alone with me or my husband. Due to the craziness of the work week we try to do two things every night...we eat dinner together and read a story together.
