agreed. i could never give up working, i want to set a good example for when my 2 year old grows up. knowing that if u want money, u have to work for it and not rely on other people to pay your way :)

I know I used to feel that way (guilty about working), but that's just me. Some moms need the outside-the-home jobs... it doesn't make them any better or worse than someone who likes to stay home, just different. Me, I work at home because I love being home... but lots of people go to outside jobs and love it!! One of my sisters says her job makes her sane lol! It would really be a boring world if we were all the same, wouldn't it?

All moms want the best for their children!! Right? If we didn't want that, then why are we moms? :) Just be happy in your career choice... because you are the one who has to do it! No one else can walk in your shoes, therefore, no one else can tell you what works best for you! :)

it just seems like there are alot of posts on here where all these moms feel guilty for going out and working like their kids will NEVER forgive them or something

@wendy what in the world did you do at home with no kids..lol....and i agree my job is easier than being at home..lol..all the bells ringing,...all the meds..all the doctors orders, all the procedures....and i'm cool as a fan..i come home and the 13 and 8 year old are arguing over the dishwasher loading(i was the dishwasher)..lol...and i want to call and say.."i know you just relieved me Kris,,,but do you mind if i come back in and work your shift....lol....

I really like my job too! I don't feel guilty about it but would like to stay home. I'm looking at possibly part time in the near future. I feel I've been gifted for the type of job I have and would hate to get rusty at it. I love spending time with my 3 yr old. She gets to come to school where I work (9am to noon) two days a week and I get to bring her with me then take her to the sitter after school. I've stayed home before when we didn't have children and I got a little depressed so I sought out a part time job and it worked out great. Now I would like to do that while she's in school and have some time with her on other days.

I love my job too and I love the time I go away from the family and have a life myself. I actually feel work is easier than home. Time passes quicker at work. It gets very boring at home when playing with a toddler all the time. When I go away and work my butt off at work for a whole day, I come home a better mum and much more attentive to my little boy.

Don't be sorry!!!! If you love your job, good for you!! I love my job! I don't feel guilty for working either, granted I work at home, but everyone is different and that's what makes each of us unique and special! :) You just enjoy your life and have the best time at it you can :) we do only get one time around so don't waste it with guilt or being sorry! :) Kudos to you for being a great mom!

That's awesome! Why are you apologizing? Kids are crazy! Some mama's need the break that work offers so we can be 100% for our kids when we're home! I was super depressed when I was a SAHM. Working makes me feel like I'm worth something! Internet high 5!
