I had my tubes clamped in 1998. I was told it was unsafe to have more children. I have since divorced and remarried. My ex and I got pregnant with twins that we miscarried and my husband and I have been preganant twice. I lost both of them but one O fhtem I was four months along. I would have loved to have the children but the tubal made it hard plus my health when I am pregnant. I have also have severe cramping during my cycle ever since I had my tubes clamped but never before.

Many people will teel you that it is not possible to get pregnant with your tubes tied but it is. I did know another person that had hers tied and she carried a child to full term.

I have 3 children, all boys. I knew if we had another child, it would definitely be a boy. I had my tubes cut and cauterized (burned) in 2003 two months following the birth of my last son. I was very confident that I would not get pregnant. January 2006, I was having excrutiating lower abdominal pain and thought my appendix was ruptured. Unfortunately, I was pregnant in my right tube and it ruptured. I drove myself to the emergency room and had emergency surgery to remove the tube. Surely lightning can not strike twice............Fast forward to February 2007, a routine visit to my OB/GYN and she asked me the date of my last period. It was January 2007, but very, very, very light. Based on my history, she took a pregnancy test.....Positive once again. For approximately, three days I went back and forth to the lab to check my HCG levels. If my levels double daily in number, it would be a viable pregnancy. The levels did not double and my left tube was removed. Presently, I have no fallopian tubes. IF I GET PREGNANT AGAIN, IT IS ONLY BY DIVINE INTERVENTION.

I also had the Essure procedure done. It's amazing, quick and simple. And they have NEVER had a pregnancy reported after having it done. The Dr who did my procedure told me that there a lot of women who get pregnant after having their tubes "tied".

I haven't had my tubes tied yet because during my consultation my doc told me I was pregnant (currently 12 weeks along). This is my second child, I got pregnant on the pill WHILE using a condom. So something wanted me to have another child...but honestly knowing my luck, after I get my tubes tied I will end up getting pregnant! lol I know...way to be positive, but I have to laugh. But so it doesn't happen, I was going to have them cut a portion off and then burn (coterized) so there is NO chance that I will get pregnant again...

Yes, Ma'am!! I had a tubal after our 2nd child was born. I loved being pregnant but had trouble carrying. After 2 rough full-term pregnancies & 3 miscarriages my husband and I were grateful for the 2 healthy kids that we had and I had a tubal (snipped and tied). One year later I was having various health "issues". My doctor did blood work for my thyroid and various other things that we thought it could be. My husband told me that I was pregnant. After 2 weeks of listening to him say that I took a pregnancy test to shut him up so that we could move on with whatever was happening to me. Low & behold the test came back positive! She was my easiest pregnancy! God was not finished with our family just yet! However, now my husband's been snipped as well and it's held for 3 years!! Good luck to you!

Wow!! I got mine done and the only issue I have had is crazy blood clots. From my understanding, you can still get pregnat up to 5 years after having them done. Sorry!!!

TRUE STORY: I babysat for a lady who already had 2 children. She had her tubes tied after the 2nd one and then 5yrs later she got pregnant with twins. They were 2 healthy boys. I didn't get my tubes tied instead they were cauterized (however u spell it). Instead of "tieing them" they just burn about 1 1/2" of both tubes closed..so far no babies..
