Do you teach in his building? If not, this idea will be eaiser. Take the time off and visit his classroom each day to show him that you will not allow his bad bahaviour at school. Talk with his teacher to make sure it is ok with them that you join the class for the week.

If you are in the same building, do you have a student teacher or another teacher (music or PE) which can watch your class for a bit so you can scoot down the hall to check on your child? Maybe your prinicpal would be willing to "watch" your class for a small time frame so you could do the same thing.

And MAYBE just maybe a rewards chart may work?

Thanks Katherine for your advice, his step dad works too. I have half term coming up soon and I will organise time for my little monster.

If you have vacation time set up and sick time, I would stay home and go on leave for a bit to concentrate on him. What kinds of things is he getting in trouble for?

Does his father work too? Maybe both of you ca take a little time off.....he just needs some attention.

THE MESSAGE IS LOUD AND CLEAR,HES DEMANDING YOUR ATTENTION.TRY TO TAKE SOME TIME OFF WORK TO CONCENTRATE ON HIM AND HE WILL SLOW DOWN.GIVE HIM TIME...BUT THE MORE TIME YOU GIVE THE LESS TIME YOU NEED AND YOULL GET BACK TO WORK SOONER THAN YOU THINK!
