With a new PC and a nice and big monitor, we can replace the old TV that don't work so well anymore. Plus we've been watching lots of online content, like Hulu, so this new PC can be our entertainment center that is connected 24/7.

I do school online since I'm not able to go to the school physically I have pancreatic cancer so I would be able to better communicate with my friends and my son would be able to have his own we tend to have trouble when we both need on the net at the same time of course if I had a pc in my home we would never have to share again. Thanks

We've always had PCs. I'd like to have a new PC without the wires. I'd like the computers without a tower. It would be safer for curious little hands and make cleaning so much easier for me!

A new computer would help my family out greatly I had my daughter when I was 16 years old and she pushed me to graduate high school an entire year early. I am officially enrolled for college this fall & my old computer that was given to me finally crashed. so i will be borrowing my moms this fall which is her ONLY computer.

It would make my life much easier because the computer I am using now is so bogged down with all my files that I am having trouble opening my programs. So a new computer would ease up some of my stress while I am working on the pc.

Well I homeschool my children with a online program and use the web for all kinds of resources for the kids learning. In April our 1 computer finally died after 10 years of fathfull service to our family. So we are down to just 1 computer which makes it hard and longer for lessons. Cuts down on PE time and other time that we take to do outside activities such as exploring the mountians and hunting for bugs and flowers. So an extra PC would make schooling the kids so much better for them and me.

It would be absolutely awesome just to have a PC. I am 31 years old and I have never owned a computer! Anytime I have ever been online or even used a computer is because its been someone elsesand I'm just using it at the time! I would also love to have one so I could use it to work from home and go back to college...yeah, it would be nice to use it for other reasons like for pictures and things but I would live to go back to college! It would help me get to see my son more often cuz I'll be working from home and he can come and stay with us for more than a couple days at a time! Thank you!!!

I would be able to set up family programming from the computer because I can not afford the price of cable. The computer we have now is too slow to stream the movies effectively.

A new computer will greatly help in my graphic design classes. My old just doesn't have the resources for me to utilize all the required programs. It definitely will take me a few years to get a new one, but I'm hoping to it won't take too long. It's hard enough working on a computer that keeps crashing every few days. My son uses an extremely old very slow PC I would really like to get a new one so I can give this one to him to use instead for his many games and learning tools.

A family, especially kids can benefit a lot from a new PC, but you as parent have to be very vigilant and have a strong security software for parental controls.
The website WebBaster.com has a lot of good information

@Paulette, My house a lot like yours. I have 4 children that I gave birth too and 4 who needed me and my husband. They are all my babies and I love them equally. Their friends as well we have on avereage 20 to 25 kids here at all times. I am the other mom and most of the kids call me mom. For a lot of these kids my husband is the only dad that they have ever had. He is working in another state right now and he ends up on the phone with just the kids for an average of 3 hours listening to every single one of them telling them how their day was.
As you were I was put on this Earth to give and love. What I receive back from them is more than words can ever begin to explain.

Hi ladies, Just wanted to clear up any confusion abou my previous post. I made this post on different thread that has absolutly nothing to do with thread. Sorry about that.

As far as the OP. I have 4 laptops and 2 desktops that I bought in the past 6 monthes. I have one for me to work and attend school, one for my 15 yr old so she can do her online high school, and then the rest are for the other kids to do research for school. I still have to get 2 more for home. My husband has 2 laptops for work and 1 for school. I really do have an awfull lot of people that need computers for things. I am so not a techie at all. All I know how to do it turn on the computer and turn it off. It is weird to me but I guess this is how it is now.

I'm full time mother and i have a part time job to be able to help pay the mortgage. I would benefit from a new pc so that I could work from home and be with my kids and still be able to help my hubby support us. I would use a laptop so that my business could stay portable.

I am sure there is more to the story than what we know. It does sees excessive but if it s a felony charge then there is something missing to the general public. It also could be a judge that is finally taking child abuse seriouslyand is not going to sit by and just let off parents who harm their children.
The have been too many cass that the punishment did no fit the crime.

Well we don't have a computer at all due to not being able to afford it, and I have been wanting one sooo badly so I can finally be able to look into online college while being a stay at home mom so when I am able to get a job * needing a 2nd car and what not * I'll be able to do something instead of job to job warehouse stuff. I got prego at a young age got my GED and all but never got to go for college just one thing after another has came up. Getting a car, and having another child, and now getting a home all great stuff but just seems to put me farther n farther behind on the college lols. It would be great.

It would allow me to be able to do some online research and make money from home, while everyone else could use the old pc for surfing the net.

I would love a new one!!! I am a single mommy working 2 jobs...one of which I only started a few months ago--I am a real estate agent for Coldwell Banker Brown in Troy, IL!!!! It is a slow starting business and that would help me so much! Hopefully I will be successful at real estate and be able to quit my other full time job and have more time home with my baby!

I have one son in college (living at home) and one a Jr. in High School. We have a very old computer. I also have a day care in my home and the children love to watch the Decorah Eagles and play games on line. I also have tons of paperwork, crafts, etc. to pull of the computer. With an old computer, it is very very frustrating. We play the waiting game all the time. My boys would benefit so much as would my business.

A new PC would help my veteran fiancé feel better about returning to school to earn his degree! It would also help me with obtaining mine as well. With four kids between us (two with special needs and one with scoliosis), buying a new PC isn't going to happen for us for quite some time.

We desperately need somewhere to keep all of our pictures and music. We often use our work machines for this, but it can be a pain if you change jobs or need more storage. I'd love to have a new home pc to use just for storing and sharing our photos.

I am a bio mom of 3 and foster mom of 3 teenagers at a time. A new PC would be helpful with having a computer just for homework and research for school stuff. It would give us a good place to have only educational stuff on the computer. No facebook, myspace, etc. Just educational sites and games.

My husband's been talking about buying a "media" PC. I'm not that keen on having a PC in the living room, but Netflix + Grey's Anatomy is a huge selling point.

A new computer would be great! Our current PC is old and slow, so watching shows or even just surfing the Internet is really time consuming and inefficient. A new PC would definitely speed things up!

It would definitely be nice to be able to have a computer for the whole family where we can store all of our movies, photos, and be able to watch Netflix movies on instant. It's also hard if I need to get something done on my work laptop, but the little one needs her Yo Gabba Gabba fix right then and there! Kids are so on demand these days it's crazy!

It would be *amazing* to have a family computer, rather than using my husband's and my work computers for family stuff. My daughter's absolute favorite thing to do is to watch slideshows of photos (for hours on end :-), and I'd love to have a new computer where we can store them all, and hook up to our tv to watch like a movie.

A new PC would be great because my old one is running out of memory and is quite slow. We'd use a new PC for storing and editing photos and videos as well as streaming movies and TV shows for the kids.

We only have one computer for a family of four. If we got a new one, my husband and I would use that one, and let our kids use the old one for school work and entertainment.

Hmm...that's a good question. I've always used Windows and I'd love to get a new computer some time soon. I love Microsoft's commercials..."I'm a PC and Windows 7 was my idea!" I don't get why people love Macs so much.

To answer the question, it would be great to have a more powerful PC so that we can watch more movies on it. I love Netflix, but my computer hangs sometimes when I'm watching a movie at netflix.com.

It would keep everyone off my work computer! ...and that would be really, really nice. Having one clean central place to keep family files like pictures, lists, and contact info would also be nice. Not to mention creating family calendars that everyone can follow and add to. The problem is... one new computer probably wouldn't be enough as everyone would swarm to it non-stop
