How do i get my 7 month old to sleep through the night?

baby sleep cycles are shorter than adults and sometimes they wake up in between and have a hard time going to sleep. I've been letting my son just cry it out til he falls back asleep. 10 min is my max tho, if he is crying for longer than that I will go check on him and check his diaper. Then if a pacifer and diaper change don't help I'll feed him.
This is a good age to begin routines too. So dinner time and bath times and bed times are good but you need to be really consistant.

What I did for my kids was to first take notice of what time the fell asleep at night. Then, in the morning, I woke them up a couple of hours earlier than usual. That makes them tire earlier in the evening. Then, I picked a bed time and put them down. Sure, they cry and throw fits. I would check on them, make sure that their diapers didn't need to be changed and what not, then put them back to bed. It only took a few nights of them crying, me sticking to my guns, and waking them up earlier, for them to get used to the routine. Both of my kids were sleeping through the night when they were a month old doing this.

Hi, we have the same 7mos old baby. I have problem putting my baby to sleep at night to, I mean she'll sleep alright but it would really be that late, like 12pm,1am or even 2am...but after wards she will get a longer sleep till morning. Just let her tire out playing around. Tiring her out would eventually knock her out.
