When all 4 kids get sent home due to flu or cold symptoms. You don't have any relatives, and no one wants to take care of sick kids and your boss is not being understanding and wants you to work.

Wow that actually happened to you? Do you have any neighbors that have kids and are stay at home moms? Sometimes they are willing to help especially if you pay them, if not with money then a free dinner that you can make them for helping you. I know I have had to stay home from work a few times in the winter but your kids come first that's just the way it is. I've worked longer on other days to make up time lost from being home with sick kids, but having a nice boss helps.
