HOW EARLY DID UR CHILD BEGIN TO WALK/TALK?

My eldest walked at 14 mths and talked by 2 1/2, my daugher was walking at 10 mths and making sentences by 14 mths, my 3rd (a boy) was walking by 1 and now is 22mths and just starting to babble and say words and my 10 mth old says mama and boom boom but isn't even sitting up.

my daughter was babbling at 3 months talking at 8 months walking at 10 months speaking spanish at 16 months she is 8 now and is in a highly gifted range oh and her first sentense was 9 months it was gimme please

My daughter is 10 months and she is saying momma, dadda, thank you, oh oh, uh no, no, eat, milk, brown, nanna, nine and boba(bottle). I read to her and her brother all of the time and I am releived that she has not had any ear infections so she is talking up a storm unlike her brother. As for walking, she just started trying to pull herself up on to furniture but, i don't think that she is going to be walking anytime soon. She won't even take a step, but thats okay because she can start on her own time, it may take a little bit longer for her then her brother. But i'm not going to worry about it unless she is 15 months old and not walking then i would worry about it.

My son took his first steps at 8.5months. Running around at 9months and he started talking at around a year. First words and stuff. He hasn't stopped since lol

My youngest son starting walking at 13 months and starting really talking around 16 months. He is now 21 months and he runs everywhere and talks in sentences most the time and can repeat anything we say.

Wow. The trouble they must have gotten into at that early of an age!
My son started cruising at 8 months, I discouraged him walking, but he started doing it on his own the day after his 1st birthday.
Why did I discourage it? Because he already climbed everything he could reach, if he figured out walking sooner he would notice more things to climb sooner.
As it was he ended up in a toddler bed 3 months later for climbing out of his crib.
I also have worked in child care for 10 years. I know how much mischief children get into once they start walking and of course running also follows.

My daughter didn't crawl until she was 11 months old, she rolled instead. She then walked on her knees for 6 months before finally walking at 17 months. Her balance was so good because of the knee walking she walked like a pro!

All kids are different......but my son started walking at 11 months and talking by the 1st year like 3 to 4 words put together.......he's 8 now and he can't stop talking NOW!! lol

My son is 13 months and isn't walking yet unless we hold his hands. He crawls up stairs but can't stand yet. Everyone seems to be saying walking by one year. Am I doing something wrong?

Each of my children were different. Normal development varies. My kids walked around a year old-- a little early. My daughter talked quite well at 2, but at that age my son needed speech therapy for about 6 months. After that he began to say some intelligible words.

each child is different and will do things in their own time. my sister hardly ever spoke until she was about 2 and my parents thought that maybe there was something wrong but when she finally decided to talk she spoke fluently

Well it all depends on the child , they all have there own time don't rush it some walk before they reach the age of 1 some don't, now when they start walking watch out they can get into anything and everything as for talking between the ages of 3-4 sentences like I said it all depends on the child and what you is teaching them and taking time with them. Good Luck and don't rush

Hi I have 4 children and they all developed at different ages so I wouldnt worry too much. My eldest was 10mths when she walked but she was 3 when she could talk properly whereas one of her sisters didnt walk until she was15mths but she was talking at 15mths.

My daughter started saying words (mama, dada) at 5 months (she's talked non-stop ever since! haha). She started sentences with 2 or more words at around 7-8 months. (I talk a lot, and talked to her non-stop. lol She must get it from me). She started walking around 7 months. My son started saying words at 5-6 months (probably picked it up from big sister!) and sentences with 2 or more words at around 9-10 months. He started trying to walk around 8-9 months. He started walking really well after he had tubes around 9-10 months.

my daughter is 11 months and she definatly says da da and she walks a couple feet but gives up pretty quickly she doesnt fall she just wants to get around faster so she crawls.

My daughter started to walk just before her 1st birthday, she does say about between 4-10 words, but that is! it at the moment and she is nearally 3, however starting to speak more now with no dummy!!

My son started walking when he was about 12months old. He couldn't crawl until 14months old. He has a condition with his neck that caused him to drag a leg when he tried to crawl. He started talking by the time he was 10 months old. He was talking in complete (short) sentences by the time he walked.

my 2 boys were diff, my oldest walked at 9 months. my youngest was at 10 months. my oldest said words here and there. my youngest was talking by 1yr in a half. thats because he was in day care. that make alot of difference

My son walked after getting tubes put in his ears at 11 months old. He tried to talk at 12 months old but, at 21 months he's saying complete sentences.
