How have you included your children from a previous relationship in your wedding?

Hi Everyone,

I'm going to be getting married in the next month and my fiance and I would like to do something special to include our little girl (she is my little one from a previous relationship) into our ceremony. We know we want her included and to have a role in our wedding besides the one she wanted, ring bearer : ) . Our wedding is not very traditional so any suggestions would be appreciated.

My children are my children and included or at least invited to all. My ex remarried and did not even tell our kids until after he was married. I'll add that everyone gets along well and there really wasn't a reason to leave anyone out. My kids were hurt and then came home and said if I ever got married I better not do the same thing. My kids sound a lot older though - late teens and early 20's Ring bearer, flower girl, junior bridesmaid... any way to get her included would be great. I remember with my 1st marriage (it was his second), we actually included him in lighting the unity candle to signify the start of a new family.

If your wedding is not traditional then let her be the ring bearer if that's the part she wants to play! I think it would be cute and it would make her very happy!
