Hi, i'm going back to work next week and am curious as to how much other babies drink out of a cup/bottle. My daughter is nearly one and has been exclusively breastfead since birth. I will be expressing but am wondering how much she should have in the 9 hours i will be away as i oviously can't measure it when i'm breastfeeding!!

I would start by fixing her about 5 4oz. bottles. The only reason I say 4 oz. bottles is because once the caregiver heats the bottle they have to throw away what your baby doesn't eat and you don't want to waste milk. My daughter was not breastfeeding anymore at that age, but she usually had one 4 oz juice cup, and 2 8 oz. formula bottles for the day. Once she starts on whole milk then they recommend about 16-20 oz. of milk a day.
