One mom spent 5,000!!!!!

My sons first birthday was more elaborate then my daughters, but that's because I invited my friends to it. My daughters was just her brother, grandparents, and parents. We spent at most $60. Once the kids are old enough to remember the big party they want something every year so we held off as long as possible. There is no way I would ever spend $5,000 on any birthday party! That's just insanity to me.

I agree Sofia. Spend the money when they'll enjoy it.

I wouldnt spend much. The baby wont remember it. All they will have to look back on are pictures.
I would have something nice, with my closest family and friends at home. I would save the big bucks for when the kids are older and want a party at Chuck-E-Cheese or Monster Mini Wolf, or want to go rock climbing, rollerblading, etc.
