I lost my job due to morning sickness.

Oh Taylor that is not good. Have you decided what are you going to do once your baby is born? Did you have enough hours in to get unemployment insurance and will you get an early maternity benefit if your doctor writes you a note saying you are unfit to work due to the morning sickness? Is there someone else who can support and care for you while you get through the rest of your pregnancy? Is the Father there for you? Or your family? I hope you have a good support network because you are going to need it even more once the baby is here, reach out to the people who love you, and surround yourself with them. Now is a time in your life when you and your baby need help.

Yes they knew I was pregnant. They rehired me when I moved back to town knowing I was pregnant and then fired me because of the morning sickness. I was a waitress and I never puked in front of a customer and I never missed a customer. I called in one day because I could not stop puking and he fired me over it and now makes up excuses to why he fired me.

Did they know you were pregnant when they fired you? That's against the law in many states.

Unfortunately, being 30 weeks along, I know most places won't want to hire you. Just because it looks VERY temporary to them.

What you can do is look for online or at home work. That'll make it easier to work around your schedule and you'll be able to do as much as you can on any given day. There are lots of different things you can do, transcribing medical records, selling things (like Avon) or starting something from at home for yourself (crafting, jewelery making etc)



It's a tough time to try and find work. You might be better off trying to do something just to make ends meet for the next few months, then once the baby is born, then look more seriously into going back to work.

Im sorry to hear you lost your job. Was it because you were late or too sick to work that day? What kind of work do you do? maybe you could find something part time in the afternoon if your mornings havnt been going so well, Im sure you could find something in a retail store for the holiday season, they usually have flexible shifts and short hours, possibly to get you by while your looking for something permanent. I was a young Mom too, I had my first at 19, but was pregnant while I was 18. The morning sickness was terrible. Most days I could barely eat, & I slept a lot. Its just the way your body works when its working so hard to keep you & baby healthy. Dont be discouraged. When one door closes, another on opens, it Gods way of putting us where he wants us for our own good. Best of luck to you :)
