I spend as much time with my daughter as possible, but she prefers bath time with her dad, she even prefers when he makes her bottles. What's even worse, she cries when he leaves the room even though I am there.

Yeppp...it is true! I have twins, a boy and a girl. They both want to be with both of us but when they can pick who to go with my daughter wants her daddy and my son is crazy about his mommy!!! Good thing I got a boy and girl so things balance out because I think I'd be pretty jealous if I only had a girl who prefers her daddy!! :)

I was a big daddy's girl. I am not sure why though. Both of my parents did things with me so it doesn't make sense. I think as I got older, we shared some common interests like sports and that made me a bigger daddy's girl. But....I'm a momma's girl now. I learned that my mom is the one who was behind everything and paid for almost everything and decided on everything. I never knew that before and although I'm still my daddy's girl, I'm my mom's best friend.

Very normal, someone else said "daddy's mean playtime", and that is probably generally true. May be phases as well. Just perhaps watch for 'control' factor. There may be times when the child wants to exercise control by doing this, and may not always be convenient. In this case you have to be firm and say " daddy can't right now", but maybe add " daddy will next time" ( if he will really be able to). And absolutely do not take it personally!!!

yeah! I was a daddy's girl too! jajaja... when child I prefered my daddy..... maybe it's because moms are always making rules, and putting order and everything... and daddy is always playing with them!

jajajaja that's funny and I don't know why but it happens everywhere.... my daughter prefers his daddy too for bath time... and because I work full time, she goes to daycare and we leave her in the afternoon with her grandmother... and when I pick her up, she doesn't want to go with me, but when daddy picks her up, she's so happy to go with him...sometimes I think she doesn't like me or doesn't love me....but I hear from other families that when their daughters were babies they prefered they daddies too!.... I think it's normal... but well, lets wait for mos repplies!!!
