Yes its hard work, and you must make sure you get some you time - even if it's only 5 minutes with a cuppa :)

Hi Lana

It does get easier!

I have been a single mum now for the last four years and worked fulltime since my kids were little. My kids are now 18 in 3 mths time, 17 in 4 mths time, 14 & 10 and yep it hard work but it does get easier as the elder ones can help out with some chores.

I find the hardest thing not being able to let my youngest do after school clubs or go to his firends house as he picked up by childcare every day.

It is important though to have quality time for yourself too as otherwise you are constantly bushed!

Hope this helps to encourage you that it does get easier!

Well, my situation is slightly different. I just became the foster parent to my sister's children. They're 4,6, and 10. I work full time at least 40 hours a week and lately I've been working the OT and working 7 days a week. It's incredibly draining. Most nights I don't come home until 5:30 and they go to bed by 8:30. I feel like I don't spend any time with them. It will all work out eventually. Just make sure you take some time for yourself before you get too burnt out!
